I can’t choose. They’re both great for different reasons.

Their songs are so hard to sing but they still dance hard and hit all the notes as required and the beautiful Adlibs of course. And you'll know who is singing what.

There can be no better stage presence than that.

Sorry but KAI alone eats all of them

Then overall Exo's performance plus vocals is just insane

I loved BTS mic drop performances as well

For me, as a collective energy, it’s BTS. There’s no weak link and the power of the seven together is unstoppable.

EXO are phenomenal though.

When I was a non kpop fan back in 2017, I watched both BTS and Exo performance on the year end award shows. Exo was the bigger group because they performed last with longer stage time. However, I became ARMY because of BTS stage presence and their energy was through the roof. Exo did great too but.. BTS Mic drop MAMA2017 was too iconic..

So my vote is BTS.

But Exo has great stage presence too, I enjoyed the eve. Great song.

Same. Can’t help but compare back then. And it’s BTS for me. Their 2016, 2017, 2018 stages made me an ARMY.

My exo, no one can come slose to them

But I think performance wise these two are very different and it comes down to what kind of energy you prefer. For me it will always be exo

For me personally I’ve never seen a BTS performance where they actually sound good live for me and I’ve been linked a lot of their performances. Even back in the day when there wasn’t any animosity and I was new to kpop I used to see the performances and think they were extremely mid for me lol. I did think their dances were interesting though.

It’s funny because I became an EXOL BECAUSE of their performances and I decided I could never like BTS for exactly the opposite reason.

Imo, BTS were and still are the best performers in kpop and no one has ever come close to their synergy and energy on stage and I don't expect anyone will top them when it comes to that.

There is like unspoken rule like

Even if BTS just sit there and sing, they would still out perform the rest of Kpop for me. Their synergy on stage is just insane and that made me ARMY back in 2017. People talk a lot about BTS's synchronization but I think there are groups that are more synchronized than them in kpop. BTS are different because each of their members has tremendous presence and personality, so much that they carry it on stage with them too so together it just multiplies and mesmerizes those that get it.

I think EXO is on par with BTS, if we exclude BTS's dance line.

bts for me. exo might be the more talented group but as a group their performances are not as good as what bts have going. fanning the flames, I'd say seventeen are the greatest performers out of the lot

tbh I've yet to see a kpop group hold my attention on stage the same way as BTS. They're just magnetic to me, like I'm hypnotized and I physically can't look away because I'm scared I'll miss something, their group energy is just unrivalled. Most other groups I'll usually fast forward through the performance and just watch the dance break or chorus part

Though EXO is among my fave groups to watch perform, if they're on stage I can be certain they will be giving a top tier performance, you don't get many groups who perform like them in kpop nowadays, especially since 4th gen groups seem to focus less on the quality of their performance and just rely on flashy sets and props to bolster their stages. EXO love performing and are confident in their skills and in each other and it shows in the way perform

When there used to be "why BTS & not anyone else?" topics, most if not all would say the same.... That BTS are the best performers in kpop. Others before and after them weren't as good

EXO stages lack charisma and I find their choreography cringy.
