Damn Pledis is really something else...

  • So Baek Jiheon revealed during live that the company was worried that fromis concert tickets won't sell.

Like wtf... Why would they even let artist know about things like this and also why organize two day concert if you are worried? Do this company only think about money?

Not back when they were so close to get NU'EST disbanded in 2017. The boys said they never sold out small places and mostly had less than 2K people attending concerts where the halls had been almost empty and even the smallest places had been too big. The company really was so close to let the group fail who has one of the most watched debut MVs in KPop-history and the mindset of Pledis only changed when NU'EST went onto Produce 101 and later on Hybe had bought them.

The first change was that when people complained after hearing how badly NU'EST was treated that Pledis had to care more for the group, however when Hybe bought Pledis it went all down. PRISTIN disbanded only like a year after their debut, all girls of After School decided to end their contracts to Pledis, NU'EST was gettinh treated bad again and Pledis became for many people "the company of SEVENTEEN" altho there have been many more artists than just them.

Seeing how the company works now I think the biggest fault is Hybe playing a big role in the company now.

You do understand that all this is a business, right?

    Didn't PRISTIN disband way before?

    They disbanded May 2019.

Hybe bought full control of Pledis on May 2020

  • Yeah i'm with Daisy, not sure what the company did wrong? They were only expressing concern it seems like, not blaming the girls.

Fromis is actually doing good, stable sales close to 200k ahead of Kepler, OMG, Dreamcatcher, and even Loona, MMM and Gfriend back at their former peaks.

Only BP, Twice, RV, Stayc, Itzy, NMIXX, Idle, NJ, LSRFM, Ive, and Aespa have better sales iirc.

  • Was the "lol fuck pledis" subtitle at 00:22 in the video her saying it, or added by the translator?

The Korean subtitles were added by someone. The original is just a live stream from Weeverse

  • i think it would be strange if they didn't let them know. it's their business too, whether it's good or bad. i don't think they're a bad company for talking about stuff with their groups

Exactly some fans are just 🤡🤡🤡 and think idols are little kids with the innocence of a 3yr old. No thrse are adults who are in a business relationship to make MONEY! so it would obviously make sense for the company to discuss both the good and bad things with the group. These things are always helpful, because now the members potentially can provide helpful feedback or changes to the company or the groups image/concept music etc to improve their situation

  • Also not all the members of after school left Pledis, Nana is still with them

Yeah I’m pretty sure I read that she renewed her contract again not too long ago.

Of course Businesses only think about money. Even when they treat their artist well, it’s only because it’s good for them too. Making money is their purpose. And on the contrary, I would find it weird if they were hiding things like that to their idols. It’s better to have a transparent relationship with your artists.
