just from living in SK I hear Queen Card way more and just generally they are more talked about. LSFM's music is probably more popular than aespa to be fair, but Karina and Winter are the most famous non-Ive/NJ idols in 4th gen.

That's a bit of an unfair statement.
Antifragile didn't hit #1 because it was blocked by (G)I-DLE's Nxde, but if you check the charts, it ended up having much better longevity.
Unforgiven actually did hit #1 briefly, before falling just behind aespa, IVE and (G)I-DLE again, with all the groups releasing music in the same general time frame.
That's not "way behind"; it's "just behind".
And if you look at album sales, using Circle, for their most recent comebacks, it's:
LSF: 1,558,821 copies sold
IVE: 1,622,476 copies sold
aespa: 2,139,015 copies sold
Barely behind IVE, and overall, only behind IVE, aespa and NJ.
Also, they actually are backed by Hybe. NewJeans is independently operated by ADOR and Min Heejin--she goes out of her way to make it clear she's responsible for all things related to NewJeans.
LSF was actually the concept and brainchild of Bang Si-Hyuk, so if he were to lend his full support behind a group, it would be LSF.

Ive organically isn't even in the picture. They are behind NJ, Aespa, Gidle and LSF.

Either Way - Melon Peak #12, ~125,000 ULs
Both pre-release title tracks released on Monday. Difference = 375,000 ULs
It is not organically possible to suddenly drop 75% of your ULs or 375,000 ULs, or conversely suddenly go up 375,000 ULs organically. Both Either Way and Off the Record, which are title tracks, have shown that they are not even organically strong enough to top 10 in Melon.

Overall: IVE has around 30M more. (they are increasing this slightly due to their new releases, whether they keep the gap and manage to stay ahead will depend on how both acts upcoming albums do)

It's going to happen sooner or later. The girls are obviously stars.
They were flying under the radar on a successful tour and even though their music is hard to digest on a public friendly level, it makes so much more sense in concert. They provide their fans an experience. Hybe is doing great with the girls so I don't care what rank they are, as long as HYBE continues to encourage LSF to be great performers.
