Do you prefer early, middle or late 4th gen girl groups?

Its hard to say, I have some favs from all the era.

From early era i watch fromis_9 quite often

From middle there's weeekly who are my #1 favs

From late era im very much into h1-key lately and watch lesserafim contents quite often

Early for sure.

Some of the songs those groups did will never be matched by the rest of 4th gen. Hann? Girls? Poison? Wannabe? Love Bomb? GWSN had a few bangers as well.

loona is not fourth gen

most of their best music came from 2016-2019

all my fav groups are third gen

those are international fans though let's be real I've seen articles on pann when they don't consider those that debuted in 2018 as 4th gen. heck, most discussions include girls groups that debuted much later.

this is not completely true is because they were included in some rookie award. I guess that's why international fans assumed they were considered 4th gen.

I think a user explained about this that mnet shouldn't be taken as a legit source I mean if people reject the idea of 2023 being the start of 5th gen then it should apply for 4th gen too

I'm far from the only one, actually. Like I said, it's something even Knetz have debated about. Of course, these comments are usually scattered about, so it's pointless to just expect you to know if you haven't seen any. But they are there, and there are also posts about it. As for Hanteo, yes, I'm debating their credibility. As I said in an earlier comment, there is no clear "objective" way to determine when a generation starts or ends; it's mostly, something that is generally agreed upon by the masses. Gidle and lots of other groups like them have been media played as 4th generation by their company and fans. Hanteo is not the official authority on genrations. They take what they see and work with it. Which is how NCT nearly got away with being categorized along with them as 4th gen. And yes, hardly anyone calls NCT 4th gen, because, like I said, they got called out early on with it before it could catch on.
