How many times do i have to repeat myself? Kakao is the lesser of two evils. Nobody is saying that Kakao treats artists well or better than Hybe, what we're saying is that a Hybe-SM entity would literally end the industry especially with YG and Hybe being defacto partners (YG artists on Weverse, Hybe using YGPlus).

SM-Hybe with YG would control 80 percent of the industry. Who is left after this? You can count all the remaining relevant acts in just two hands.

i think it more like they dont bother about management, they just like investor, i think i read somewhere in this forum they want sm coz they need it just for listing in nasdaq , i think outside kpop fans noone actually know starship is under kakao, coz they never show it

Kakao music division is a completley seperate entity from their other divisions first of all and second Kakao are literally just investors, they never take over management for any label they have invested in, the whole reason SM is even in this mess of because of LSM if he wasn't embezzling a ton of money then the board of directors wouldn't have been forced into a corner. You won't see Kakao changing sm colours or logo to Kakao x SM or being involved in managerial decisions for SM acts.

He who has the most money can do Astroturf marketing the most.

Because they havent influenced in the group's sound or concept or disbandment after buying their music subsidiaries, unlike Hybe that showed what they can do pretty early
