Kakao currently under investigation (Why not many talk about this?)

    This is so interesting, why not many kpop fans talk about it? Imagine if this is big 4, they will trending everywhere and lots of threads will be make here. This is the real definition of monopoly and power abuse in entertainment industry. Not those media play that company like to used by mentioning other big groups' name to attract attention.


    Maybe because some might think Kakao is smaller than the big 4. But in reality, they're the biggest along with Cj, lol. One of the big conglomerates in Korea. Kakao controlling a lot of things from media, communication to music platform. They own melon and remember that time when they removing the rights to hundreds of songs from Spotify? Yeah, that's how powerful Kakao is, not any of big 4 have this kind of influence.


    But, tbh I still don't get it why they need to do this. This very unnecessary.

    There were many disgusting shit said about garam online, many lies spread to smear her name in the media. People joke about and make light of this scandal but we have a victim caught in the crossfire right there while kakao will obviously get away with it with a slap on the wrist as punishment at worst, how nice for them :thumbup:

    There's been some discussion, but most of it is just people using it to either drag IVE or prove that mean ole Kakao caused all the problems for their fave group and ran all of the negative articles about them regardless of where they were published.


    There also hasn't really been any new developments and since any punishment will probably be handed to the company or some staff members and not the groups themselves then no one will care.

    I don't see a point to attack ive. I just find it really interesting how they can easily control kpop fans mind with only articles and random claims. See how Garam and Soojin still getting cursed by knetz even till this day when the evidences is not even there.

    are you dense? even if hybe practically threw her out the door the moment the scandal arose that still doesn’t cancel out what kakao did. Hybe’s and kakao’s responsibilities in the dealing of this situation are not mutually exclusive. We are talking about kakao’s actual involvement in this specific situation and even if they’re not the only mastermind behind it that still doesn’t mean they should be absolved of their wrongdoings and should not receive condemnation anymore just bc “everyone is doing it!!1!!1” you’re really incapable of grasping this concept lol. My original post never said anything like kakao is the only evil corporation in this entire world, just that their responsibility in this situation needs to be addressed, bc there’s literally evidence right there of them manipulating the system, but through your thick skull apparently that means i’m saying that kakao and only kakao is to blame for every single wrongdoings lol.     Like i’ve already said for the millionth time, i never denied hybe’s responsibilities in this situation. But that doesn’t negate the fact garam was caught in the crossfire of kakao’s scheme. They may not have been the sole driving force in killing her career, but they played a part in it (and not an insignificant part either but i’m not getting into that discussion now), so it’s not egregious to want kakao to shoulder at least some punishment for it. Idk why you’re so intent on harassing me for voicing this opinion. No, kakao is not the evil lord responsible for every evil deeds, but they should not get off scott free for their wrongdoings either, that’s the whole point. You made it into a blame game entirely in your head, i did no such thing lol. I’ve already voiced my distaste for hybe’s handling of this scandal multiple times so I don’t feel like repeating the same thing over and over, and it’s not relevant in this thread’s discussion anyway no matter how much you want to drag hybe into this thread which was talking solely about kakao lol

    Kakao should break, its singers distributed to other companies, and the singer most associated with Kakao should not be taken by other companies.
