I kind of get their viewpoint, they liked 2nd gen more, but that doesn't mean it was better.

Just because we like something it doesn't mean it's the best, it may be for us, but not for others. Same if we don't like something, just because we don't like it and think it's the worst, doesn't mean others don't like it too and that it's really bad.

Opinions are really interesting. Some love ketchup, some hate it, some hate avocadoes(for example me) some love it.

And in the end, there's no way to measure which one is better, which one is good and bad.

2nd Generation was better. (to me)

Nah 2g was better. Ggs ruled, bgs were more relevant, still had catchy melody focused music instead of random noise, idols appeared regularly on tv, social media wasn’t ruining everything and all that.

I like all gens. These days 4th gen songs are more playable simply because they are in the trend right now. 2nd gen was the trend back then too, same as 3rd.

Music preferences keeps changing and although I loveddd tbe songs when I listened to them they feel outdated now. Its just what it is

my life was very messy when I met kpop, 2 gen 2010 / 2011 I love the songs I love the groups don't miss the time of my life; now my life is the least messy it ever was and i never felt the same way about anyone in 3 gen or 4 gen tho 4 gen has been releasing bops specially aespa, ive and nj

in the end I can think 2 gen was better all I want it was 1000x better for me and for others

just understand that people function in different ways and have different tastes

also not my fault 2 gen was the superior time, as many said tons of groups variety shows were way better yadda yadda

this won't change the view of other people who prefer other gens

and life goes on

I'm a kpop fan since 2015 and overall to me 2nd gen was the best for several reasons:

We had so many more groups releasing BOPS and delivering good performances.

We had idols going constantly on TV and being funny, it felt "lighter" bc malexfemale interaction was ok, we didn't have tt drama or SNS fans being pathetic.

We had kpop being kpop even with all the influence, but kpop was still kpop.

Overall i think 2nd gen was the best and I'm not a grandma

Btw this doesn't mean 3rd or 4th gen are bad.
