Line distribution and fairness

I'm not interested in "fair" or "equal" distribution. I've said it before and I've said it again - I don't want someone with an amazing vocal to have less lines for a so-so vocal just in the interest of fairness and I don't want a fire rapper to have less bars for a so-so rapper who may be a great dancer or visual/stan attractor/variety.

This is like having the so-so dancer in the front and center instead of having the virtuoso amazing dancer. They're selected for specific talents and I'd rather see them maximize them.

The last big solo activity was for Yein I think, I know I tried googling Kei's name in Hangul once and got the most unsavory results so lmao. If you want to follow Kei stuff this is probably the best place though

For fairness, I think it would be more a bit harder for large group? Mainly if in the group they got more than 1 good vocalist, the other member could just had 1 line of 3-5 seconds.

WJSN and Izone are like this.

In Izone, where the main vocal is Yuri and they got many capable vocalist like Chaewon, Eunbi, Yena, Yujin. The thing that I like from Izone title tracks in this case is, they got some pattern in their lines distribution. The powerful parts and build up parts usually handled by either Yuri, Chaewon, Eunbi or sometimes Yujin. Intro and ending would be given to Wonyoung. Nako and Hitomi parts are usually following each other or they had interchangeable part. The rap would usually be handled by Yena-Chaeyeon, or Minju-Hyewon. Many people said that Hyewon got the least line, but for me, besides her other parts besides rap is also good. They are the insert/filler lines, the icing on the cake.

WJSN also kinda like this, where they focused on their stronger vocalist like Yeonjung, Dawon and Seola. Yeonjun-Dawon handling the heavy vocal part, Seola is the lead. Exy is holding the rap part (but she also sing in the bsides) There are also Soobin and Dayoung that could handle highnotes as well but they got moderate amount of lines. Bona is given good parts like the start of the chorus. The one that are usually not getting much lines are Luda, Eunseo, Yeorum.

Both WJSN and Izone are leaning towards "showing off their best sides" rather than having equal distribution, because their members.

But for fairness, I think Aespa did well.

Idk the exact time of distribution but it's quite good for me. Like Ningning-Winter got the parts where a main vocalist usually had. Karina and Giselle got the other parts and mainly the rap parts.

I’d say Stray Kids have a pretty fair line distribution. Of course there are exceptions, but considering their discography as a whole, if you randomly choose a song, it’s more likely to be fair than not.

Heejin, Kim Lip and then to a lesser extent Chuu, Jinsoul and Yves get the lion's share of lines. Olivia doesn't get the most lines but seems to get a lot of the killing parts.

The groups that I think have relatively fair line distribution are Blackpink, Aespa, Red Velvet, New Jeans, NMixx and Itzy.

Choerry and Hyunjin get pretty decent amount of lines, they both at least get 10 secs, so idk what you mean by they get paid dust

I don't think Haseul gets paid dust much either she had lots of lines this comeback

I don’t expect the main dancer to have the most lines and the main vocals to have the most center time.

Tbh I only get pissed when it’s the other way round. When they shelf the main vocals for the most popular member or give center time to the visual instead of the main dancer.

Unless every member of the group is a good singer (highly unlikely if you're specifically looking for a large group), you shouldn't expect line distribution to be even.
