tbh guild killed the main forum because a lot of user stay stuck in their guild and never leave them

yes before guild there was official artist thread where user can exchange about the news and activities of their favs
the guild subforums especially did a number on the main forum. Having a guild chat was fine but all the extra threads make it easy to never leave the guild

When guilds are gone, people are gonna have to post in the main forum. Which will bring more activity (Like threads, posts to artist threads, etc.)
With guilds gone, I think it'll be easier to just make friends with users and interact overall. You don't just know who they are by their guild, you have to ask about them, who their ults are, which groups they like, etc.
Something that can solve that problem is just blocking. Block people who bother you and only interact with people who don't.

I go to many guilds but because of that Sometimes I get stuck in their so much that I don't even open main kpop section that day

deadass leaving if they take guilds, but then again it would just be the nail in the existent coffin for me so if the forum wants to do something as dumb and do that to the other ones... I would wish to witness the chaos

That happened with me too! I went to some groups and saw long lists. I thought I would be able to talk to guild members and make friends. but only some were there and in some my lone comments remained unanswered and undiscovered

I've been here for 6 years and forum did undergo a revamp prior to me joining, and then again when I came back after a couple of years hiatus at the beginning of last year. It's a bit like a shop undergoing a revamp, it's not always for the better and doesn't always improve the place either in my opinion. There should be more sections like on the original forum but I've forgotten them now.
People don't avoid the main forum because of guilds, they avoid it because they just don't want to go there. If you took away the guilds, many of those people who don't venture out much would just quit the forum.
It's a complicated issue, but one thing that may contribute to the popularity of the guilds is that they're a bit halfway between the experience of a forum and a subreddit, facebook group, or discord server (the latter 3 of which are all extremely popular these days). They provide the best of both worlds in a sense.
I'm probably the only person that rarely visits my guild lol.
Anyway, I really like the new taglist idea.
I rarely visit my guild too except for special events or to organize badges. I really like my guild members but I enjoy talking about a variety of groups with lots of different people.

did you try Blink Guild? its the only very active one i know (with variety of users and not just fandom before anyone mentions their guild 
) which appears to welcome everyone since so many people visit
