I wouldn't say that. A lot of these groups are still in their infancy. NJ is not even a month old.

KPOP's globalization has blurred the lines somewhat, but I don't think most groups can gain that level of a stable fanbase in 3 weeks.

aespa has the biggest fandom. Look at their album sales

Aespa or Itzy. Everyone gets excited about new groups - you have to wait a bit for it to stabilize IMO. Even those two groups saw some shake out when they were not the newest group.

Why can’t groups just have a really great debut instead of the need to be the top of their generation/Kpop to infinity?

GIDLE was never a big seller how their fanbase is biggest? ITZY sold more on debut too. To date, GIDLE album sales is still far behind other 4th gen GGs.

I think GIDLE's good charting for HWAA was an effect and goodwill of their performance from Queendom and their consistent rising in popularity with the GP. Maybe, you can consider them as the 'fanbase' but to me, id they have a strong fanbase, HWAA wouldnt free fall on chart after scandal break out

I think aespa is still most popular group but they have not true it girl (always winter vs karina it girl)...

They re more popular than itzy or gidle in korea .(there re yujin and wonyoung bring the popularity in korea)

in korea??? well the question is what metric does one use to measure fandom levels within a country?

album sales right? or touring but since very little 4th gen GG have actually toured then the only metric used to determine fandom levels would be album sales no?

isn't it aespa they just had their fan meeting in a 5K capacity arena where most groups do their concert. Not sure how much they filled but it looked pretty packed to me
