Why do people say the members in NewJeans are very young, when they are basically the same age as the members in Ive when they debuted?

Oh trust me, there was an issue when Leeseo debuted. A grown man was spamming threads about her on this forum, and eventually, he got banned. Not for that directly, but it played a hand in it since people didn't like it, which made them notice other worrying behavior.

honestly just like people essentially got over ive's ages they will with newjeans too. adult kpop stans are already getting sparser, other than the creepy ones or the ones stanning older gen groups. like i was in a new jeans discord server where users were introducing themselves and like 99% were 17 and younger.

Ive might be technically similar in age but they look older (Liz could pass for 19 easily to me) plus they have two veteran idols everyone has seen for 4 years now (Yujin and WY). Wonyoung and Yujin will automatically have a more mature aura and public perception because folks are so familiar with them.

I think the main issue besides having a 14 year old member wearing some revealing outfit it's Min heejin that's probably the biggest issue.

as far as I remember some people had an issue when leeseo being too young, it was kind of a big deal when they debuted but all members of Ive are old enough imo. There is one member that is an almost 20 , a 19 year old, and 2 members are turning 18 this year.

Maybe it's because I like so many GGs but I don't think people are really aware of what goes on in non B4 groups. Groups with members as young as NJ have been debuting for ages now. So I'm not really on the outrage train

Ahhh idk what u guys say..i've seen outrage abt groups with many minors or girls that are too young so many times..its not any different this time..and im pretty sure the issue with Min Heejin kinda made their average young age stand out even more.

i criticized ive too, actually i still do.

They are young when the youngest is just 14, just a child (literally). They are way younger than even my daughter so I feel very uneasy watching them.
