Can you really stan a group that just came out?

Uhmm I can for me its very easy to tell if ill like a group and normally its one member I really like that catches my eye performance wise or dancing that makes me very interested in them.

Like I remember watching BTS debut showcase and Jimin and Suga dancing, I decided to basically support those two and then supported the group as a whole as they carried on.

I normally stan music though if a group debuts with a bad debut song im already over them really.

If the company is trusted though its easier to know you will like the new group. For example I like all YG artists so Im 99% sure I will like the new groups.

I would say for Big 3 groups its easier cause you normally have known the members for a while like Treasure.. those guys took ages to debut. Winner and Ikon you grew to like through shows and BP had quite a bit of pre debut promo.

No If I did that I might have to unstan some groups eventually. Most groups I like have very different music when they debuted vs years later so I try to avoid becoming a fan too soon and also not judge the debut song too much but also their potential. Not just the songs but sometimes their image changes a lot too since most idols debut very young

If I like most of the music they put out, yes.

Stanning for me ain't about following members extremely closely and be up to date with what they're up to.

It's enjoying their music.

And i did unstan them few years later bc of their music after TY out

I kind of stanned Kingdom before their debut.

The thing that made me notice them is that this name made me think of "Kingdom: Legendary War"

But I checked them out and liked the concept about them being kings and stuff, and I kind of liked their fandom name "Kingmaker".

I remember even making an artist thread of them in a different forum.

I don't think I would consider myself a stan of them anymore, even though I enjoy their songs and concept. (I still really like their song "Promise")

and well... I'm kind of like this about ATBO too.

most of these are stans that just wnat to be able to say " iwas there from the start". if the group flops they will quickly ditch them lol

Stanning a group after the debut is ok to me. At least you have listen to the music and see the members. But stanning and buying album/single pre-debut is crazy to me. You don’t even know how a group sounds like and you already willing to give away your money? That’s the most mind blowing thing of all. And the one the labels dream about lol.
