Tempest cause of hanbin

Tnx because I heard that it’s Pnation group but don’t know anything else about them, also keep forgetting their name

And I heard before that jinjin and rocky would make songs together but didn’t know it was a subunit and that it happened in 2022

i think i know some of these names but idk how they look. bg debuts havent been making noise so far this year or maybe im just a gg stan

Tempest because of hanbin, a decent debut. Didn't the produce younite member go solo after x1's disbandment? Suprised he was okay being put into a group afterwards...

Threads a bit old, but I did want to respond to this...

So, the member you are talking about Eunsang. He did release a couple of solo singles after X1's disbandment.

I actually do think Brand New Music (Younite's company) always had plans to debut Eunsang in a group. Back after Produce 101 s2 ended, the Brand New trainees that made it to Wanna One naturally debuted, while the remaining ones later debuted as the duo MXM. This was a smart move for Brand New as it could maintain some of the hype and interest in those two trainees from Produce 101 with additional releases. After Wanna One disbanded, they took the members who were in Wanna One and the two members from MXM to form AB6IX. MXM was essentially a temporary group that allowed the non-Wanna One members to continue to put themselves out there while the Wanna One members promoted and build themselves up in their group.

So, now Produce x 101 rolls around and Brand New sends 4 trainees. Eunsang makes it to X1 while Sihun, Seongjun, and Junghwan don't. So Brand New like they did with MXM, takes these three trainees and makes a new group BDC. Like MXM, I think they were intended to be a temporary group to allow the members to maintain their hype from Produce and promote themselves while the members who made it to the survival group, in this case Eunsang in X1, build themselves in their own group.

The problem was, X1's contract was cut early, and while Eunsang was likely intended to be put in a group with BDC, they weren't quite ready. I also think they wanted to have more trainees in the group too and they weren't ready yet.

So Eunsang being a soloist was a way to ride off his X1 hype for a bit while they figured out things.

Eventually, they had their trainees ready and Eunsang was added to the group like how they originally planned. There was expectation that they were going to put in BDC in the group, but that didn't happen. I am speculating that either they had so many members ready (Younite is a large-ish group at 9 members) that they thought adding BDC would be overkill and they didn't want to hold some of these trainees back for them or maybe they thought BDC established themselves as a trio well enough already and decided to keep them as is. Could be that they wanted to sell more by promoting both groups instead of combining them. Diversifying their sales if you will.

So I think Eunsang was likely okay with this since he probably was aware of these plans since early on. Just, the plans didn't go 100% as expected.
