I started stanning BTS because of their music and not bcos of how many records they are breaking so yes I will def be a fan.

No... talking about but oh how can they surpass 7 million or how can they have a hit with a ballad does...not being sad over amount of new music.

I unstanned BTS starting from MOTS era. I still might even if they're nugu.

Judging my trajectory

When I stanned them between Young Forever and Wings era I didn't understand anything about their stats, I didn't understand even what was a music show. Everything was new in kpop.

But like Tenfour point out, maybe I wouldn't know about their existence when I started to get interested in K-pop, because I wasn't deep enough in the korean industry to be aware of nugus, so It was necessary the international hype they had.

They said their future albums will have hip hop songs and they never stopped having ones before. No body even knows the track list of their album. People are crying and throwing up over the lead single not being one.

Let's pretend they are in their Wings era now (because a nugu group is far less likely to survive as long as BTS):

I do listen to a lot of nugu groups but that's mostly girl groups, so I don't know if I would discover them.

On the other hand, BGs that have non-noise songs do stand out to me so if they came out with BST and I heard it, I would likely get intrigued enough to look up more of their music.

Also, as long as they're not just there to have fanwars, I don't care if people become interested because they are successful.

I think I would not have found them then. I found them because of their Idol performance on AGT AND because my sister (who know about everyone who happens to be famous on internet) keep telling me about them.

but if I had found them and if they release same music it would be much easier to stan without this whole bashing and over analyzation of their every little move by K-pop industry. we cant even enjoy their music in peace now. first PTD and now this like I am tired.

Been following them since Just One Day era, started stanning them after their Perfect Man performance. I've seen them rise slowly towards the sky and they will still be loved by me like before even if they fall (which I wish never happens)

I have husband and kids so i don't have enough time to follow some artist..but there's something about bts that made me their fans since 2018 and last till now..i love them because their song..i don't care about charting..but i'll be happy if they chart well..

LOL before I heard idol, I was interested in kdramas and I used to watch hindi edits on them and I watched one edit on DNA mv. In comment section someone commented that they did not like it and there was 1k replies bashing that person.

my sister made me watch DNA mv which I still don't like and I just formed an opinion that they are overrated with crazy fans. I never actually checked them out I just formed an opinion based on my internet interactions    .

I did consider BTS a flop group back in 2016 (well no one around me knew about them, and seeing how their MVs only had a few hundred thousand likes, I thought they were nugu ), but that didn't stop me from getting into them and eventually stanning them. All it takes for me is to be bored enough to search around for other kinds of entertainment, and that's how I was introduced to them.

That being said, I think there’s no way they wouldn’t have gotten big bc they’re just too good as performers and they’re too likable

I had no idea they were big when I discovered them. I just got enchanted by their stage presence and performances.

I would definitely still Stan. A lot of artists I listen to can't even crack 10k streams on Spotify and most people I talk to have no idea who they are yet I still Stan them.
