i mean people are only comparing the songs witch is definitely fair, but the truth is, ive members are much more popular and trendy than itzy members. wonyoung has always been popular, yujin was also in izone and came to the group with a fandom, leeseo blew up, liz, rei and gaeul are also members that people like. itzy was very much the ryujin show with yeji in the periphery. yuna was the most popular visual member, but charyeong was almost invisible and lia was always a bit contentious from what i remember, even more so after the the bullying scandal. in kpop popularity and trendiness trumps all.
jype doesn't know how to get their girl out there t keep up the hype. they're already majorly failing sullyoon. they don't want another suzy but another suzy is what they need tbh. and they need to put groups together where even with a suzy (like wonyoung kind of is to ive), the other members are also able to hold their own popularity.

i don't think i claimed any of the other ive members are "extremely" popular? i also don't think you understand my point. and i've said it on this website before. in kpop the group sells the song 99% of the time, not the other way around. the song being catchy and palatable carries it the rest of the way, but its a fact that itzy members suffer from not being widely known. i simply think how important member visibility is is often overlooked. thats all

Icy is a great song but it's a bit childish. And ot's chorus is not catchy like dalla dalla. That's why it's called teen crush. But men are 50% of population and teen girls want to look up to older women. Ive's love dive is more in line of what gp look for. With teen crush songs they limited their audience to children. Now they are outgrowing that sound with loco and mafia.
