why does stanning a group pre-debut make me a company stan?

i mean, how do you become a fan of a music and performance based group that hasnt put out music and performance yet

I would say it's weird to solo stan trainees who are literal strangers to us. I can see people being hyped up about an upcoming member based on their looks perhaps, but we have no clue what their talents are, what their personalities are like.

I would say its even weirder to stan a group like Ador based on nothing more than a few news articles and past art designs of their new CEO MinHee. Like stanning a group because of some rando executive?

With Lessararifm we at least have some Produce clips of the opera singer, and of course legends Chaewon and Sakura.

how can you stan them if you don't know anything about their music. what do you stan? their looks? their pics? their teaser videos? i honestly don't get

i'm not dragging nmixx but even their pre-debut stans who stanned them without hearing a one sec of their music, know that their debut song is a mess

so yeas, i don't get how can you stan someone without knowing anything about their music

honestly the current attitude shift i-fans have had about pre-debut stanning is so weird and hypocritical. people say things like "how can you stan without listening to music" as if visual stans and solo stans haven't existed since the beginning of time. kpop stans across the board are also notorious for brainwashing themselves into liking polarizing releases from their groups and streaming even if they don't like certain comebacks. so WHO are y'all trying to drag for thinking the members of a group that have been revealed pre-debut are pretty and cool and that they've peaked our interest enough for us to claim we stan them?

the problem only lies in people forcing themselves to stan a group bc of the company, not if they just genuinely like them.

Oh one more thing....for anyone that stans Lessarifrm or Ador...the real question to be asked is this...

Would you still be stanning them if Hybe decided to sell them to another label, like YGE or SME? If they were moved to YGE or SME, with the exact same members, concepts, music and production crew, and songs that they would have released with Hybe....would you still be stanning them then? That could determine whether you're a company stan or not.

I feel like this is indirect shade at a specific group...

I can see how people can look forward to a pre-debut group,but I personally can't really stan until I know that their music slaps

Although if you feel like you wanna stan then you have every right to,I don't get why people have to be so bitchy about it.

there are a lot of groups that put out awful songs that their stans convince themselves are masterpieces and force themselves to listen to it over and over again until they fully believe it 🤷🏻‍♀️

there is nothing wrong with being curious I am too but stanning is a strong word imo

I guess people might see you as a company stan if you already stan them without knowing much about them as a group or having heard any of their predebut stuff and are only interested in them just because they are under the same label of your ult bias group.

but a stan is a dedicated fan and thats very different from simply being interested

Sakura and Chaewon already have a fanbase, so these fans will stan anyway.

But stanning a group before debut and even before a song teaser means you're trusting the company to put out something you will like, i.e., company stan. That's how brand name works.

By the way, being interested ≠ stanning.
