Is the anon these days a better place for discussion than main forum even if it's more toxic?

yes, because too many users on the main forum are afraid of speaking their mind because they don't want to ruin their reputation on akp.
I mean it’s sad that we are anonymous in the main and still scared of reputation and etc.

This! Also it's much easier to throw out a shitty take in anons because it's just more anons arguing against them so people are more likely to keep their side of the fight going. If someone throws out a shitty take about a group in the main section, a known knowledgeable user calling them out breaks their shitty take off at the knees.

It was okay before, I was regularly going there to participate in discussions. Now a lot of stupid threads are being approved, so I blocked the section.
I don't know from the fast 2-3 weeks more threads are approved in the anons. I remember multiple times the lastest thread list being only anon threads. More activity over there

For the users that wax nostalgic about the fanwars and controversial opinions and how AKP no longer allows those without punishment - we have anons.
For the rest of us who would rather not deal with most of that so-called 'cowardice", you have the main forum where people are free to debate with their pseudonyms and face the consequences if they say something over the line.
It all comes down to how much responsibility people want to accept.

Anons are a dusty, wretched, cursed, evil, disgusting place for people who lack thinking skills. It's not juicy nor entertaining. It's just like the baffonery that goes on in reddit. Nothing funny nor juicy going on there. Anon users are pathetic individuals who are ruining allkpop forums and I will forever blame them for the downfall of akp. We need to get a petition going to reveal whose posting what threads because the same nice users you see in here are the same users stirring the nonexistent pot in anons. Their not doing a good job at it either. Cowardly individuals.

Exactly two faced. I find those type of people quite pathetic. If you can’t say your unpopular opinion on main because you want to protect your fake online identity I honestly can’t think of anything more pathetic but that’s just me.
I do use anons but I can say anything I say on anon on the main forum. And that’s how it should be.

As someone who used to go on anons, the thread that was really full of toxity was the Unpopular Opinions thread. People really go there to spread rumours, shit on idols' character and appearance, expose users, commit defamation. It's a mess. The rest of the sub forum used to have a "filter" when approved, at least better than now. Now It seems the sub forum became a extention of the UOT.
One day I entered in a Treasure x Enhypen thread to read and people were there insulting each other personally and the comments being approved

All usernames in anons seem botish, because they are created by bots. The usernames in anon are created and assigned randomly when someone posts there. They are not associated permanently to any specific users.

It's different because on main people can use ad hominem as retaliation so whatever you say end up ignored bc of who you are, in anon that doesnt happen

the reduced accountability leads to direct shitting on idols, insinuated insult to users, and generally fraying the discussion.
I'd say the main forum is better for throwing out thoughts despite its less juicy nature. (personally I don't think its the pushback on controversial thoughts that is the problem, it is the fear of the pushback that filters people's thoughts here. )

Ah. A lot of those are probably also actual bots. Bot accounts will flock to the threads with the most activity, which the anon threads get entirely too much of.

I think it's not only the anons influencing that.
The way the akp economy is structured now, well, you guys see how frequently people are begging for the shinies.
If you want the shinies, to buy badges and stuff, you can't go fighting everyone.
Thus, ppl start considering using the anons an option for discussion.
