I've never been to a online fan meet. Is it worth it. I want to see them. Will there be translation? If no, then I'll have to think about it and weigh the benefits vs cost.

SM tested the new BL platform on SMTOWN, I think (I know it was one of the year-end type events). There was translation. YT Live translation is still the best for these events (they were so fast), honestly, but it is what it is.

I just dowloaded the app. There is no in app purchase system yet. You have to purchase from the web version. $40 is expensive and its not even a concert. I want to complain but I know I'll end buying anyway. I'm already eyeing on red velvet.

This better not be all you’re giving us SM that’ll only satisfy the 100 or whatever number of exol who get to participate. It better be like those nature republic ones where they perform and play games and stuff and not just meeting events.

I've purchased two online fanmeets over the last year.

Xiumin's fanmeet

He performed 5 or 6 songs (don't remember how many), including several EXO songs and one new song. IIRC, he played games, answered fan questions and stuff. I remember the performances more than the other stuff because he did Obsession and Let Out the Beast, which was awesome! Plus a new song.

NCT 127 Foundation Day (anniversary) fanmeet.

They performed 6 songs, mostly b-sides that we don't usually see (vs a song they did 70 times on music shows), including one we'd never seen choreo for. They play games, do interviews, answer fan questions and giveaways and stuff.

It's definitely more fun/interesting with more members to make it rowdier. I liked the NCT one a lot better than the Xiumin one. Hopefully this will be even more fun with actual fans there.

I do think they're expensive for what you get, IMO. I'm fine with online concerts and the expense there (because that's cheaper than a live concert and no one is blocking my view) but the fanmeets make me go hmm.

Will I still buy this? Of course.

I bought and wactched Xiumin's too. I didn't know that is counted as a fanmeet. Yes I don't mind paying $45 for a concert but $40 for a fanmeet is hmm indeed. At least there will be games and I really hope special performances. I hope they do songs from Obsession. I want to hear Xiumin an Kyungsoo sing those songs. The funniest members Baekhyun and Chanyeol are not there. But its okay. I'm sure the others will be funny as well. I so straved Exo I'll take any bread crumbs SM throws my way.
