I can't remember people disliking the song when it came out 
I loved it when it came out, but if I remember correctly, people disliked it due to it being "generic."
I can see why:
It's a nice song to me, but those things made it seem generic to a lot of listeners.

i like to hear some kind of emotion in the singer/rapper's voice that shows they are passionate about whatever topic they are singing about
this feels lifeless soulless to me except Jinu's parts
It wasn't hated but it was called generic, personally I wasn't a big fan of this song as well
Too much auto tune
the autotune ruins it
This was the comeback that really made me move on from Winner. It sounds like a generic American summer song from 2017, no thank you! The cringe dancing, the outdated meme dance, the bad autotune, and it's not even catchy.
When I think about how unique Winner used to be during their debut era, it's really sad to see them go down this road.
