Do you think Survival Show privilege exists?

yeah to an extent survival shows can bring in hype to upcoming groups. They might not necessarily maintain the hype though.

To an extent. I think it usually means you'll have people checking out your debut. Whether people stay interested depends on the usual song quality, marketing, etc.
Like Weki Meki's debut EP sold ~50K and their debut song charted, but they'd gradually sold less and less every comeback, though Siesta did slightly better than their overall downward trend.
I think it helps if you can combine Survival Show privilege with being from a company that's at least big enough for this to not be their first attempt at making a successful group, like IVE from Starship or Yena from Yuehua Entertainment.

Yes it bring them hype and exposure to a lot of people before they even debut so yes there's a privilege
And it also pretty much help them to secure great physicals sales

Yeah absolutely i thought this was known and accepted. Ofc some survival shows are more successful than others. But it always gives a boost.

Not all the time. A lot of survival shows didn't exactly give groups the boost they need.
Not every survival show is like Produce/Girls Planet.
There are many survival shows like Finding Momoland (Momoland) or Idol School (fromis_9) which yes maybe it helped, but that boost was literally non existent. Momoland only got "bigger" because of a viral hit for example, hell I think many don't even know they had a survival show.
It exists but the effects of survival show and the boost they give to groups varies.

Of course yes.
Look at IVE, they have two izone's members and the group is benefitting from them the most.
But it's also a matter of luck and how popular were the members in produce groups before debuting in new groups and it also depends on the company if it's too nugu or not to promote those new groups properly.

If it's from mnet or a big 4 company then yes, there are privileges but in my opinion there are disadvantages that other groups won't face as badly.
For example, akgaes and solo stans are a massive problem after survival shows. Of course you can find them in all kpop fandoms but they are especially bad in fandoms from survival shows. I remember I watched I land and there was so much fighting after it ended. It might of calmed down now but I'm not gonna believe that after members were evil edited and put against each other that the fandom will be peaceful. Kepler is another example of this.

Depends on what you mean. A survival show is a chance to build a predebut fandom and gives you a head start when they actually debut. But let's remember that the idols works hard during these shows, showcasing their talent and charm, and the viewers decide during the show if they like the members or not. It's not like a big3/4 group that can debut and automatically has more hype than most groups have during their whole career. I'd say it more a smart business move than privilege. Promotion isn't privilege. If that makes sense
Produce/GP999 privilege might exist tho since it's been around for long enough to build it's own following.

Of course, however it also depends on the survival show...
If we talk about Mnet or projects like the one for Enhypen, the hype for the group can be even bigger than freshly debuted big 3/Hybe groups. However, other survival shows don't have the reach these have, so while the group that comes out of the show can get a boost, it's not that big.
