Gaon Awards, made me check the Monthly Artist - that itself would be a good indicator, wouldn't it. A simple table based on the monthly awards (Splitting collabs as 0.5 to each artist) gives the below table

Non Kpop groups i.e soloists, duos etc - NG
67 out of 130 months - 52%, leader of course is IU -11 months out of 130 at 8.5%

BGs - Big bang is the leader at 10 months, even if splitting out GD, it is 9 months.
Then of course BTS at 5.5 (.5 -Coldplay takes 0.5- not in the list)
BGs are 23 out of…
