Take me for instance. I never noticed Wonyoung in Izone. And tbh I never like Izone except for that rose song.

Now that Wonyoung in IVE, I can see her charms. But it was Liz who caught my eyes.

My hypothesis is that IVE has a more global appeal compared to Izone.

I definitely agree I didn’t even care about WY until now. I never wanted to stan izone because they weren’t a permanent group. And I think I’m not the only to think about it.

Even if WY plays a huge part, the others stand out, there isn’t a filler member and they are only 6.

Imo IVE are more interesting than Izone.

It's true the group would garner less attention upon debut without her, but the eyes that wonyoung brought to the group will hopefully see the other member's charms and like the songs.

Yujin is an it girl too.

So yes, without Wonyoung AND Yujin, Izone Vor Ever would be nothing.

IVE doesn't have nearly enough Akgae or solo fans for this thread to take off the way you want it to op. Most everyone can admit that Wonyoung as well as Yujin helped significantly to propel this group into the spot light, but the situation could have easily turned into a Gugudan/WekiMeki situation if the other members (Rei, Liz, Gaeul, and Leesoo) couldn't stand on their own and weren't stan attractors.

Then where would IVE be?

The group itself could have still failed with the exception of only Wonyoung and Yujin doing well (become the accursed "Suzy situation" or the "Wonyoung and friends" that so many people were hoping for). But as we can see, that isn't the case.

DIVEs are (maybe even surprisingly) more united than most post-produce group fandoms (or fandoms with huge gaps in popularity in general).

Wonyoung is a great idol,

But REI is the main reason why I started stanning IVE. .from her intro video to her vocal to her rap... Her stage presence and her sense of humor...

I agree. Wonyoung is literally the center of I've, the face of I've, everything. Without her the group would have nothing. The rest of the members are not really that interesting. People have to stop acting like Wonyoung isn't the reason IVE is popular. Without her IVE would not be as popular and their songs wouldn't be as big.
