They can both disband and make the world a better place
bulletproof boy scouts
I followed exo first but it was just on the surface
no matter how much content I saw, or music I listened to or performances I watched
I just couldnt feel connected to them, nor did I really understand them as people
after getting to know bts more, reading their thoughts and feeings through their music,
relating to their lyrics because they were in tune with my own feelings
it was hard not to connect to them on a more personal level
in my opinion it is much easier to fall down the bts rabbit hole because they share way more
and are very much more inclusive
EXO.
I was mainly gravitated towards their music. They have less variety content (can be either boon or a curse) so the main reason I stayed was for the music and it was a thrilling experience discovering their discography. Very few artists capture me that way.
In KPOP, you need to have variety content otherwise you won't get much fans even if your music is the "best".. So I understand why people might not be interested in EXO or it won't "pull them in"..
Also, They are not as active... So there's that factor too.
Different strokes for different folks.
Their discography is vast, diverse and is enjoyable to listen to. I could play it all day and not get tired. They have something for everyone and that's admirable.
As for their personalities and stuff, They are bunch of introverts put together in a group... They really keep it to themselves. Like, We won't even know if they had a dinner with members unless someone sees them. So, it's kinda nice how they keep their privacy intact.

Ah, I really like both. I like different things with both. Both of them are such good performers but in different way. Both of them have amazing songs.
Generally I was always more into BTS, I listened to their whole discography, follow their content, everything, etc. So I have to pick them.
But both are great.
If I didn't find out about bts, I probably wouldn't have gotten into kpop
Basically the same for every kpop stan in the world.
I vibe more with BTS, I replay many of their songs on a daily basis and their messages that tackle issues like the pressure to succeed, being there for others and fighting the waves of negativity really resonate with me as I grew up thinking a lot about those things as well. LOL, I sound like a basketcase now, but it is what it is. They also have a bond that I love and the realness I see in them is something I really relate to - I'm a crackhead in real life too. Damn, I am just painting myself into a corner... Imma stop now.
I do like EXO's music a lot and they look like fun people too, so I really wish this wasn't framed as some competition.
Basically the same for every kpop stan in the world.
I would disagree. It definitely wasn't the case for me.
