I've seen lotta folks questioning Izone and Minju's popularity recently. Well take a look at these view counts for the recent MBC Gayo collab between Izone, Ive, Itzy and Gidle. She is taking out the literal it girls of these top 4th gen groups including my biases and faves ffs. If Minju's dumb agency hadn't shut the door on her idol career, Minju couldve ended up as the biggest soloist of them all.

Agreed. Urbanworks has no one who can help her as an idol, i mean look what happened to Kriesha, she's disappeared as far as i know. I'm sure Urbanworks was "encouraging" her to give up her idol career so they can use her as an actor. I highly highly doubt Minju would have voluntarily given up guaranteed success being in a Sakuchan GG under mfing Hybe, to join an industry like acting where she is literally a nobody.

Someone once said Minju declined the offer because IZ*ONE is the only group that she ever want to be part of.
I don’t know if it’s true, but I can imagine it because she was very attached to all of her members and she’s also a very emotional and loving person.
Perhaps she was not ready to force a bond with partly a bunch of people that she doesn’t even know for seven years when she had had a group that she sincerely loved before

w all that being said i sure wish she stayed an idol 😞 but i get that she’s always been into acting, even before being on pd48
if that’s what makes her happy so be it
on the bright side she can successfully use iz*one as a stepping stone for her acting career and she’s genuinely good, i don’t see why she wouldn’t succeed
