Disagree. There are plenty of good/interesting covers.
I didn't say there are not, I like covers, it was just me being ironic (I guess not clearly enough)

I'm bad at it haha, I know...
I agree that Monsta X is one of the best and I agree that TXT was one of the worst. Their performance was fine, but they just can't pull it off imo.
Moonbin and Woodz were the best part of the SBS cover.
Honestly Mitotic covers are made or broke by two things and that's the vibe if the group matching the song and whether or not they go for the high note. Like I don't even care so much if they can't get as high or as loud as Changmin. Few people can. I just appreciate the attempt.
I agree, I also like some covers better, and I get that some covers might not be that nice to people, but when idols cover my faves, it makes me happy, even if I prefer the original, I try not to compare it to it the original or say that it was totally bad etc.
It seems we have different criteria of what makes a good Mirotic cover. Is it vocals? Strong eye contact with the camera? Sexiness?
Good vocals isn't enough for me, I need eye contact and sexiness. I also need a certain vibe. One of the dancers in the SBS Gayo was too fluid (yes, fluidity gives a different vibe than slight clunkiness), while another added too much of the equivalent of dancing ad-libs.
This might be a weird description but I feel like for Mirotic you need individuals who have very masculine type singing voice and dance skills/appeal. If you watch TVXQ’s Mirotic performances the members all look more mature and sound more mature than idols now covering the song. TVXQ were in their early 20s singing this song similar to all these idols covering the song .

Not weird at all. I share the same thoughts.

Hmmm, maybe that's why so many in this thread prefer the MX cover. Their vibe and image leans more masculine and mature.
