I mean most of us are indeed western so 🤔

Number achievement aside, what's amazing about her achievement is she was a 13 year old soloist who sang and dance live, and promote alone and found success in a new country all by herself.

Boa is like:

Imagine Psy, but 13 year old, female, and can dance harder choreography

Imagine BTS, but only 1 person, female, 13, and sing in an entirely different language than her mother tongue.

Her Jpop albums are amazing

Valenti remains one of my favorite jpop albums to this day

My friend burned me a copy of her CD back then and that’s how I got into kpop.

She attracted over 12000 fans for a concert in Korea from 1 hour of promotion back in 2002. She must've been extremely busy that year toggling between Korea and Japan.
