SM is slowly dipping in on Hyperpop, actually. Especially with Savage, they literally gave us hyperpop aespa but more mainstream.

Oh I totally disagree with this. Some of the examples you’ve listed don’t feel very fresh and feel like exactly what I would expect of when you say “gg Kpop song.” If that sort of safe bubbly and bright song is already being handled by another group, then why wouldn’t you make something very different from that to create your own segment of the marketplace? The whole point is to have your own specific sound to me and to hear that group and unmistakably know it’s that group.

I recommend you listen to Lucid Dream, I feel like you’ll like that song! Remember SM never does the same thing twice. So we know with Aespa their music capability is endless just like so many SM groups before them.

While Savage may not be everyone’s taste, I love how unique and different it is than literally any other GG song right now. I’m sure we will hear many different kinds of genres from Aespa in the future
