Actually Second generation was peak for kpop to me the groups that were doubting at that time were unique and distinguishable not like now every group tries to be the next twice or Blackpink or the next BTS, also groups were both huge domestically and internationally not like now where groups are either popular overseas or in their home country of course cases like this excited in second gen but it wasn't that prominent like now.

Can I disagree? I think second gen was as that's when I came into K pop and those groups paved the way for the groups we have today. Their songs will remain iconic and will never die out, well for me anyway. Apart from BTS, Aespa and perhaps Brave Girls, there's no other group that I'm keen on these days. I think given time and enough support, these newer girl groups can be strong and dominate just like the second gen groups did.
