What are among the best years of KPOP based on your own preferences ?

for me its...

2011 : the year when i started to stan KPOP. Bubble Pop,Roly Poly,The Boys,Mr Simple,Fiction,Trouble Maker,Step,Hot Summer... oh good old days tho

2014 : girl group domination when we have snsd,2ne1,apink,sistar,girls day,aoa,orange caramel,t-ara,kara,secret and many more . Also BEAST and EXO producing bops (im a huge beast fans).

2016 : the beginning of 3rd gen domination . Cheer Up , Rough , BST , Monster etc . So many bops released . Also IOI and BLACKPINK debuted on that year. 2nd gen also still producing bops like WG,Beast,SISTAR and AOA.

2018 : the peak of 3rd gen . So many bops and hit song released during that year

OVERALL : 2016 is the best year imo .

2011 when I got into K pop. All the second gen groups, iconic songs and era. Just not the same anymore imo.

2019 for me. That was when I got into kpop. It was summer and ITZY's icy came out, and Boy with LUV also. It was the year I had the most fun being a kpop stan... now not so much lol.

2012: Great year for YG! "Gangnam Style" and Big Bang's Alive EP were great for music.

2013: SISTAR19 with this amazing song. This was the year I could call myself a K-pop fan and not just an appreciator of a few songs. I may have discovered certain K-pop songs and groups while on a flight somewhere, and let me tell you the music was great. I'm pretty sure 2NE1 performed some magic that year, too. Big Bang continued promoting their Alive era.

I don't even think of K-Pop in terms of best year. I think of it as where is it currently at and where does it need to be. Has it been a struggle and is it still a struggle to get it where it needs to be? Hells yes!!

Tbh I don’t really follow other BGs besides BTS but will check them out when people recommend. And there will be some songs that stuck with me and Scentist is one of them. Vixx is a great group from what I know.
