So ptd isn't doing bad in korea at all

Thats the thing with bts releases these days.

If it becomes instant hit like dynamite kr butter it's because of fandom.

If it's stable hit like LGO or PTD it flopped.

I will never understand the logic.

BTS are held at a higher standard than their peers in the music industry. Not every song is going to be smashing blazing hit. Some songs will just be stable, and that doesn't mean its flop when the songs end up on the charts year long with stable listens...

also i will never pay attention to fandom vs GP thing, at the end it doesn't matter when the results are good. those who bring up GP to bash any kind of artists on their success is merely doing it for validation from GP. no musicians care if their success is due to GP or fandom when the results are good.

emphasizing on the fact bts did no promo in korean music shows or variety shows.

One reminder....

Savage Love Remix which never got into top 3 on melon is #32 on melon. Savage Love Remix got no promo. No means No. BTS didn't even perform it for once. Yet, It is miles ahead on Melon than so called national hit of kpop fans. A zero promoted remix outsold comebacks.

#1 position=Fandom+GP

Longevity =GP

Permission to dance may not reach #1 on melon. It is a bside. It is ok. But Its longevity will surpass kpop fans (Who called ptd flop) fav's song by miles.

Another reminder: Butter & PTD got zero promo on South Korea.

PtD is definitely another BTS hit.

BTS songs have always been about longetivity. BST charted for 69 weeks on Melon when kpop songs were finding it difficult to chart even for a year.

This.... This has always been the case with BTS. Their longevity has always been their strength rather than their peak. They've had a few that had both like BWL and Dynamite but most of their songs are longevity hits (like IDOL, DNA, BST, Spring Day)

BTS sure suffers a lot of judgment.. but yes, PTD is doing great (a top 10 in all charts) and BTS consistence on charts just make it more incredible. They are stable and their music always chart good. Expecting a top1 from an act who isn't your fave (funny, right? They want it from BTS, but their faves are doing great at top50 ) is just ridiculous.

The benchmark for BTS is always higher. As expected from the nation's pride.

💜 PTD is a good song and the choreo makes it more appealing . If they perform and promote in SK , it wil go higher in t charts . Without promo itself its so stable

If BTS just show themselves on just one music show performing Butter & PTD just for once, top 2 spot is for sure.

It is not my overconfident but my trust on the impact BTS has on South Korea.

I don't know whether PTD will hit #1 or not, but PTD deserves to be #1.

It doesn't work like that. I am talking about having a shot at number 1. Sure their uls on melons go up a bit compare to last week but streams, download go down compare last week. For sure these 3 songs PTD, Next Level and Traffice Light going to compete for number 2. I am not sure which one gona come out on top but iam not seeing PTD topping number 1. This is not downplay PTD by the way, it's just my observation base on chart and data.

Idk, MSG Wannabe lost almost 4M points this week. If they lose a similar amount next week, PTD definitely would have a shot at #1. Looking at week 2 to week 3 comparisons for recent BTS songs, here's what I found:

Dynamite- 2M increase

Life Goes On- 2.1M decrease

Butter- 1.8M decrease

If PTD loses 2M points similarly to other BTS songs, I can definitely see MSG Wannabe losing enough points to be pushed down to #2.
