I don't know if I'm just too sensitive lately because my favs aren't that active or if I really feel uncomfortable sometimes in my own fandom.
I feel like I'm misunderstood and whatever I say is wrong.
I hate this feeling.

I used to be in this other online forum kind of place. It was really bad. I met a few people that stanned the same group as me. At first it was ok but then they started calling me horrible things for stanning other groups. Told me I am a fake fan etc. It affected me so much to the point I became uninterested in that group and finally unstanned.

I'm not really used to feel part of a fandom, aside of calling myself a Reveluv or a Sone or whatever, but these are just names. It's unusual for me interact with other people that like the same groups (just talk with my friends). Getting deep into a fandom can lead me to be judged like you, and to be honest, I don't take attacks easily. If someone try to bring me down, we gonna enter an argument.

I don’t listen to kpop because of the fandom, if I did, I’d stop listening years ago because cult mob mentality is extremely common. I dislike a lot of people I come across that are apart of my fandom anyway, especially on this site. The most important thing to remember is to enjoy kpop for you and no one else. If someone jumps on you because of your opinions (as long as they are non hateful) then forget them, these people mean nothing to you and are projecting their own insecurities and self hate onto you.

I'll never understand why kpop is such a competition. Well, it seems it happens with other kinds of music. Why can't you just enjoy whatever you like?
Leave the competition for the companies. Why would you want to stress over that? Love what you want to love.
It becomes even more ridiculous when you learn behind the scenes that members of different groups are actually close friends haha.

rn i honestly don't, blinks are so welcoming. i never feel like a blink is judging me for something. but in my older fandoms i was in, i felt like if i said something like my fav song, they would be talking behind my back. it was on another k-website(which i left) but i don't think i'll call myself a part of that fandom even though i love the group

For me, the hardest part is not being able to be honest without people treating me like I don't know what I'm talking about.
It is ok, I understand what you feel like. I know it can be hard. I suggest you try to find some real life people from your fandom. Real-life people are usually nicer than online people. If that doesn't work, you can always not interact with the fandom too much. Watching funny youtube videos is a good one. People in funny videos comment section are usually very nice.

Once in a blue moon, I'm told that because I'm a multi fan, my opinion doesn't matter.
That tells me that I'm talking to a person who is :
1) insecure
2) taking K-pop too seriously
3) plain stupid
Sometimes I wanna pop off and swear at people (and my lord, I could be really fucking mean if I wanted to), but what does that do to make my online experience any better? Nothing.
I like K-pop, so why would I ruin my time by arguing over fandom quasi-politics with strangers?

I say this to bolster your opinion: If you got to know users outside what badges they have, you might make some meaningful connections.

What's up with ELFs?
Many internal problems. On one hand there are Kyuhyun fans acting like the whole univers is against them and Kyuhyun and like Label SJ's first priority is how to possibly sabotage Kyuhyun. Their favorite hobby is comparing everything Kyuhyun gets to the other members, from how many seconds he sings to screen time to how often label sj tweets about him to whether other members show public support to his activities or not. Unfortunately, Yesung gets the burnt of it all most of the time because they have historically felt victimised by Yesung and the fact he often gets to sing the bridge and high notes (and even though Kyuhyun and Ryeowook actually get more lines in average than Yesung but I digress)
On the other hand there are of course the hyenas that kicked Sungmin out and are still actively harassing him and his wife literally 7 years later. And of course their counterpart aka the opportunistic I-fans that take advantage of Sungmin just to insert Kangin into this supposed noble cause of getting kicked members back to the group.
And then there are also Eunhae horrible shippers who consist mostly of Donghae fans and their life goal is apparently how to make Eunhyuk's life hell.
And the worst of them all aka those fandom popular I-fans with big following who seemingly stan k-elf more than SJ and would swear upon their lives that the sun rises from the west if k-elf said so.
I have stopped following any SJ fanbases and popular fandoms years ago and my fan experience improved heaps. The only elf I follow are ones that I grew to like as individuals and whose friendship transcends kpop.
