it's because GG focus heavily on GP support, and big 3 GG are directly more expose to the GP than nugu GG
meanwhile BG focus on fandom and at the moment you give a lot of fandom and you're not from a total nugu company you can pretty easily grow a strong fanbase if you're a BG
and BG like Ikon for example who are stuck in mid tier even if they are under a Big 3 can hardly build this fandom because they doesn't have any content for their fandombesides their music so it's harder to buil d a strong fanbase who can make you rise as a top BG

But Today nct is bigger than ikon and winner in every aspect except hits. I agree nct were underwhelming for a SM bg but today the units r doing good and have consistency.
SM privilege works differently. Even after flops the groups rise to the top and maintain their position. And that yg smash privilege for bgs is dead. Just look at treasures performance on charts. And those debut hits at last left both winner and ikon as mid tiers.

korea public is more willing to listen to music made by gg, they feel less "ashamed" unlike bg music
U cant see it with itzy - stray kidz, aespa-nct and it will most likely follow the same patter with all the new ggs that debut from big companies, like it doesn't have to be huge ass support but they will at least give them a chance

Sorta true... mid tier boy groups nowadays sell like 500K albums. I would imagine they would make as much as some of the top tier girl groups (even more). Also there will be consistency due to their dedicated fandoms.. They also seem to have much better longevity.
Gg - easier to get public recognition
Bg - easier to build core fandom
If success is define by money made then both bg and gg are equally successful. If success is based on public recognition, see above.
