SM privilege works differently. Even after flops the groups rise to the top and maintain their position. And that yg smash privilege for bgs is dead. Just look at treasures performance on charts. And those debut hits at last left both winner and ikon as mid tiers.
This is a very flawed logic. If it takes you 5 years to reach the top tier then that's obviously your own hard work, not company privilege.
Company privilege is when you start at the top straight from the beginning. iKON and Winner obviously benefited a lot from being YG groups, that's why they literally DEBUTED with hits, but then they fizzled away for whatever reason, that's on them imo, they had a huge privilege and company support but they didn't follow through.
Meanwhile for NCT, they had a very underwhelming start despite being from SM, were even called flops and a failure for years, but then they created their own fortune. That's not how privilege works.
