What do you consider BTS's biggest achievement to be?

-
Staying true to themselves, coming from the bottom with 0 industry support and becoming THE top artist globally only backed by their own talent, charisma and hard work, while changing industries for the better and having huge social impact in the process.
If something specific, then IFPI recording artist of the year and overall domination:
#1 recording artist of the year
#1 and #4 album
#10 song

sold out Wembley

Youngest order of merit winners
Grammy nomination despite making way good music than many supposed winners
Selling out stadiums all over the world.
Ifpi #1 artist of year
Biggest achievement will be crossing 100 million Equivalent album units in less than ten years of debut.
Since 1987 only one group has achieved it and BTS will be second. Legendary feat.

Their outstanding ability to gather a colossal group of diverse, dedicated fans that cherish them greatly.

BTS biggest achievement I think depends on where you are coming from
As Koreans their biggest achievement is the order of cultural merit
BTS themselves greatest achievement is army
As global acts their biggest achievement is selling stadiums around the world. Currently no act can do that and I think that’s their biggest flex of all.
Billboard number 1s, people get them all the time and that chart is gamed by the industry so I don’t respect it much
Grammys are racist, the queen never got one.
Album sales are impressive but can get inflated too.

The fact that bighit were able to build whole hybe empire on BTS' money.
Daesang sweep (and multiple times to that)
Whatever magic is going on in Japan now (really a surprise considering it's not really their target market)
Multiple #1 on hot100 and them being able to keep that position
Oh, and tbh their story is actually the achievement too, cause who else could go from complete nugudom to being the biggest pop act in the world
-
How they manage to balance their popularity in the US, Japan, and their Home Country imo. I think they are the first Kpop act who manage to do so. Even among 3rd gen group, if you pay attention, you'll notice how the one who are doing good in west are not making that much noise in Japan, and vice versa.

For me, it’s the UN speech and the Love Myself campaign because it shows that their inspiring message resonates with so many people.

Their win for Top Social Artist at the 2017 BBMAs. Yeah, you can say that it was fandom-driven. Yeah, you can say that the fans were the ones who voted. But I genuinely think they worked hard enough to gain those fans internationally without much promotion. They did it purely by being themselves, by making music the way they wanted to. They brought something new to the table. They built themselves a hardcore, loyal fanbase this way.
To me, it was their turning point that changed everything. The Grammys are overhyped. This one award matters more because it's a representation of their hard work over the years. They can win Grammys and I'll be happy for them, but I'll always look at this one as their biggest accomplishment because it led them to their greater success in the future.
This award is the embodiment of their fandom, their unique identity, their sacrifices, their persistence, their past, their present, and their future, as dramatic as that sounds.
-
I will forever consider their ability to make music for fans who are so diverse culturally and with a huge language barrier their biggest achievement. It blows my mind sometimes how they have such a massive fanbase in almost every part of the world.
Everything else came from their hardwork and the fanbase.

Being 8 years into their career, and still rising.
Which act can say that ? That they haven't reached their peak yet, 9 albums after they started ?
-
-
Probably amassing a Literal army?
-
To me, it’s that they’ve become the biggest artists in the world despite every superficial circumstance working against them.
I remember reading this article about SNSD’s U.S. promotions, written for a western magazine. The journalist watched a Shinee performance and said something like “Of course, it’s safe to say no k-pop boy group will become popular in America”. Lmao! If only he knew
So yeah, even as a longtime kpop fan, if you’d told me in 2013 that a nugu boy group made totally of native Koreans would be playing Wembley Stadium in a few years, I’d have called you a liar

-
I think in my eyes it’s their ability to connect literally millions of people globally and consistently touch their hearts.
Also, the UN speech. Iconic.

Grammy nomination + sold out world stadium tour!
-
The most organized fanbase called "Armys" for me is an achievement also the lifetime honorary awards/medals in their names.
