They have gone the western route and its okay because they've clearly mentioned their ambitions of a grammy. By western route, I dont mean the english songs but doing english chat shows and not being as prominent on k-media.
All things said and done, they've gone global and it is something that they wanted themselves.
Maybe global is a better word than westernized.

- I think Mexican food is SO overrated... and I'm Mexican
- I've only played 3 Legend of Zelda games in my whole life: The first Legend of Zelda, A Link To The Past and Twilight Princess
- I never got the hype with Super Mario 64
- Not only do I prefer Sonic Adventure 1 over part 2, but I like it WAYYY more than Super Mario 64
- Never really cared for Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger
- I have only seen two of the Harry Potter movies: The Prisoner of Azkiban and The Goblet of Fire (Great movies tho)
- I love sequels that take place in an international setting or in Japan (NOTE: Most of these movies are considered bad)
- When I was stationed in Korea, I got really into Japanese culture......
What else?
I've never seen a harry potter movie - think it will ruin my imagination
Indian food outside is nothing like what is made at home

You live by the sword, you die by the sword. You can't use the SNS as a weapon in an attempt to right wrongs you suffered, or at least expose the people you deem responsible of your suffering, and then act offended when someone uses the exact same method to call you out after your actions hurt them. It's only a taste of your own medicine.
completely agree. lol we both used sword metaphors

nobody is invalidating her feelings
but she's 23yo she could learn how to be mature
and handle her shit off line
making it online just make this girl petty to me because she just look like a petty girl who wanted to take her revenge, and get Mina drag by all the haters she have knowing her situation
so to me that girl is very petty that's why i can 't sympathize with her behaviour
she could have handle her shit well offline and do it classy
but she didn't have anything better to do than sent her friend to post on a community to get mina drag '-'
every normal person handle their shit offline why she can't do it ? it's not because she's mad , it's because she just wanted to get mina drag
and that's where my problem is, she did this knowing that Mina will be the one who will at the end the most hurt by this whole mess
while she should blame her ex bf
no why shouldn't she vent publicly after Mina posted a photo with the bf. Mina is not the only one with mental health issues, can you imagine the mental health status of someone who's just gone through what the girl has? Its like three years of her life have been tainted.
Mina and the bf could have kept it offline, away from the public eye rather than flaunting it.
Like deserves like.
If Mina hadn't made it public, don't think the friend would have.
I blame the bf mostly, but Mina who publicly slutshamed Jimin is also partly to blame.
-
To be fair this is a viral scandal in Korea right now and she publicly addressed it thus making it public herself
Exactly. For celebrities who want privacy for personal lives, I respect their decision but people who disclose private details of their own accord make them open to discussion by public. She could have not posted about her bf but she did it anyway, knowing that he was seeing someone else.
Exposing your private life is a double edged sword, if you're there asking for support which the public gives, you should also be open to when public calls you out for wrong actions.
-
She knew and told him she'll go out with him if he breaks up her - proven by herself
The guy is trash but Mina is losing credibility
-
THIS! I'm so tired of seeing men lie to girls and then their wives/GFS/baby mamas etc blaming the girl 😖
She knew, the guy has his gf's id in his ig
-
public or private people
i don't see who cares about what they do in their private life if it's not illegal
who cares who they fuck ? who they cheat with ? and who they date '-'
the fact that some of you even care about this things make you really weird '-'
she have the right to do everything
yeah it's not the best thing, but no it's not something who deserve to be leak and presented as something evil and deserve to be bash about this
also the friend presenting their relationship as a good relationship also prove to be lying because it's clear through the text that their relation wasn't going on well, so presenting this by saying " omg look at what mina did while my friend was living a perfect romance is wrong "
and now explain me the goal of these girls of posting this ?
will she be back with her bf because she upload it on sns ? No
she didn't have to publicize this and it's make her a far worst person imo
because she' using this to destroy the life of people and take revenge on them for what "cheating " seriously she didn't have a more immature reason to drag people and doing this just to get tons of people to send them hate message '-'
and yeah mental health isn't a shield
but when you're a decent human knowing that someone is going through something as hard than her
you don't take the first opportunity you have to drag them and hope that they get hate message
and more over when you're an adult you handle your affair, and relationship problems in private like someone very mature '-'
so yeah i'm sorry but i honestly have more pity for Mina and the boys in this story than the girls who just seem petty and somebody with no morality or maturity
Wow
So a live-in gf gets dumped by her bf of 3 years and she can't call out the mf. Aw hell no
That man deserves to be publicly shamed. In a way this is cathartic to the girl. I feel sorry for her and have zero sympathy for Mina in this situation.

Korean men dont date.
-
ah that scares me
-
For being too friendly with boys

Am I the only one not understanding the question?
"As an ifan, what’s your main social concern with kpop"
I don't think the question asked whether or
not Kpop idols should fix social issues.
The OP is asking "Do you see social issues in Kpop that are concerning as an international fan"
There are so many social issues in Kpop, from the trainee system to discrimination... I just don't see how some of you say None...
I mean I guess it's an opinion?
But in my opinion, being oblivious to the social problems is kinda quite concerning.
Ah I get OPs question now. Yes, of course there are many social issues from colorism to sexism
-
me too. Me too. LOL
He’s the type to say we’re not together anymore on the weekdays and to give him space but the on the weekends he love bombs me and tells me how he wants to get married.
So I am also thoroughly confused
lol

-
None for kpop idols. They are kpop idols, social issues are not their responsibility. Look for artists who specialize in this.
-
generalizations because of reputation. In an ideal world they shouldn't exist.

Would have been okay if the actress hadn't played her race card.
Bobody asked you to bleach your skin.
