Do you sympathize with people struggling with Drug addiction?

  • I do feel sorry for them. In the rock industry for example, there's huge pressure to consume drugs to keep up the rock image and unfortunately a lot of people become addicts because of it.

However, I can still berate them for lack of will and bad choices in the beginning.

  • Yes I have both friends and family who struggle with addiction, some are too far gone at this point to realistically get out. While I sympathize with their addiction and would never blame/hate them for it, I do criticize their actions in relation to the drugs. Abandoning their kids, putting them in danger, and one of them even almost killing their own kid. I've cut off my relationships with some of them due to that and it's not the kind of thing I'll let go

I believe in rehabilitation with drug addiction rather than punishment and extend that to how I treat them myself. Support for them getting through their addiction, never hating them for it even when they're not getting better, and never using it against them. But in the cases where they even put their own children in danger, they lose my support but not because of their drug use

  • not really honestly

I was growing up on neighbourhood when kids could try everything from weed, to nose stuff through pills to mushrooms...

and I never understood the idea of whole 'addiction' to something, it's all about saying 'no' either to people who are offering you bad shit or to yourself when you already have this in your pocket.

  • I am a cbd user.. I wouldnt call cbd a drug though!!
I have been depressed for about 3 years and have been on antidepressants for a while. Anyway, I felt different and somehow indifferent about everything while using antidepressants. I was very happy that I discovered cbd for myself. I've been taking cbd for about 4 months now and I have to say that I can only report positive things. I feel more comfortable in my skin and more balanced in general. I use this CBD oil from Cannapio: https: //www.cannapio.com/cbd-stronger-15-natural-full-spectrum-oil-30-ml-cannapio.html

So personally I can recommend cbd oil to anyone who suffers from depression.

  • In all honesty it depends on them. I only show sympathy for those who really want to stop but can’t do anything about it. But for others who are not that much serious, it’s totally up to them. And the only time some of these people want to stop is probably when they’re getting married, and they know that they have to be responsible. Nowadays, there are people who vape CBD. I was told about it from CBD gummies for pain in Canada, I just hope it doesn’t become an addiction too.

  • mostly yes but it depends from case to case

people handle their struggles and battles in different ways. some are able to overcome them and others turn to drugs and alcohol as an escape. you can’t fault them for that. but those who begin committing crimes just to satisfy their addictions are horrible and i can’t sympathize with them. similarly, if you’re genuinely working to overcome your addiction, you deserve support from everyone. it’s not easy, i’ve seen how painful it is for them.

i did community med work last year at a drug rehabilitation center and there were kids as young as 11 years old struggling with heroine and meth and what not addiction. it was just horrible and traumatizing to watch.

  • I sympathize.

I used to think more harshly on them, but I realized a lot of them use it as a way to cope with their mental health issues and sometimes physical pain.

Not a good way to cope, but some don't see any other ways.
