since she was equally top tier in singing dancing drawing playing multiple instruments and occasionally rapping had a cute face with a muscular body and a deep voice, they couldnt find a dictionary term that quite described her to fans and non fans alike
so they had to add the term which basically means equally good at everything they do

i don't think ace is about talent. its more like what an MVP is in a sports team. the ace of a group would be the idol that brings the most attention and profits to the company. like im pretty sure most people would consider irene to be the ace in RV, not wendy. hyuna, irene, yoona, lee hyori are all aces even though they arent very talented.
