HOW DID U FIND OUT ABOUT ALLKPOP? AND WHY DID YOU SIGN UP?

I signed up in akp during 2014 coz I was part of Sones vs blackjacks in the comment sections of the main site

I searched up a kpop question and there was a whole thread on it

It looked interesting so I decided to sign up

i joined in 2013 but i only wrote like 50 messages and then left. i was busy with school and other things.

then i joined again in 2016 after the revamp to see how the new site looked. i didn't like it so i left again.

then i came back in summer 2020 and decided to stay... and now i've been an active user since summer 2020.

a long and complicated story. tbh i don't even remember how i found akp back in 2013. it was so long ago

Idk remember how but i found the AKP bash thread and it was spicy asf

so i decided to join lmao

I wanted to check some kpop news and write "kpop news" on google and akp was the first or second option.

I lurked for years but didn't sign up. Honestly I don't know why, it just didn't happen. But the new layout and blingy type trickery for 2021 version of AKP did it. It's obvious staff is working very hard.

I had a lot of time for the first time in my life after years and didn't know what to do. I opened an account to answer a question about Exo. There was too much negativity so I wanted to show some appreciation so I stayed and later started making threads

i went on the main site for news. i lurked around for like a year before signing up

I was a kpop fans for 10+ years, but never really involved in kpop .. I don't know (don't wanna know) about their albums etc.. charting etc , i just listen casually

But since I had sudden love or butterfly in my stomatch with BTS earlier last year after ON kinetik released, I can't help myself about digging more and more about them.. youtube don't help me much .. since there are a lot of random video

There were so little article about kpop in my country.. so as much as I hunger of their content (I don't know BTS have twitter) I felt like I totally nugu with this kpop thing, I spend my early morning everyday just to google "BTS"

Lots of article got me to allkpop from google.. and surprisingly all of them are new article and update everyday with new update about them.

I started not to google, but always visit allkpop.com then search "BTS" ..

So i create an user for liking post.. but somehow I dunno how I became pretty active here and I have 4k post at my old acc

I just had too many opinions and no one to share them with lmao

I was on OneHallyu before, and when that died I looked for a different forum that was fairly active and landed on AKP. I lurked for about a year before actually joining. I mainly lurk on here still, but I signed up only because I wanted to say stuff every once in a while and block some users I found annoying.

I always got news from this site so one day (in 2019) I decided to sign up so I could comment on the news posts, but I barely used the site until 2020 :) but nowadays I read the forums more often than the news section

Through the main page of AKP, I read some AKP news, then I saw the forum, so I signed up. I used to have another account registered in 2012, but I forgot the id and pass. so I register another one in 2018

At first i was a lurker idk why i didn't made an account i was just getting my kpop news from all kpop lol the when bp dropped ktl i made my account cos there were so many haters and i wanted to fight them lol Also none of my friends irl listen to kpop and there's no one i can fangirl with that's why i'm here, i can talk about my faves freely

I just found it on the internet... thought it was interesting that there was a forum.

I would search up these random things regarding KPOP and there would always be a thread about it in the AKP forums in the Google search page. Also I would be looking at images of my faves and they would sometimes link to AKP forums. So finally I was like "why the hecc not" and thus here I am today lol

Lurked for awhile then decided to join. Most of my friends from then are gone but a good chunk did come back!

I can't even remember properly tbh, I just know I was a lurker for about 4 months or so before deciding to make an account

How I came upon the forums in the first place I dont even know

Lurked from 2019 Nov - 2020 Oct. Started from the news, then figuring they had a forum and peeked into it. Created account later.

was looking for BTS content, then chanced upon AKP

found out about akp : I was searching some kpop news site and akp kept appearing and i became a regular user. (At that point i was very new to the scene)

akp forum : obviously the main site had a forum button, i was rarely coming to this part of the site but one day when i found out that there is sometimes real intelligent discussion out there i decided to sign up. It looks like i became pretty active.

Around 2018 Jae of DAY6 shared an article from AKP to Twitter and I wanted to read the full one so I went to the side and saw people in a chat (If anyone remembers Miles, she was mod in the chat at that time and cause of her the chat hat to be closed down cause she banned user from the chat like all 2 minutes since there was a dude who had like 60 spamm-accounts. The dude who got banned even said thank you to everyone who reported him to Miles cause his goal was to be banned on 60+ accounts but he allways keept 1 halfway safe cause his girlfriend used to be on here and she had no social media so he needed a place to talk to her lmao. I never saw both again after the chat was closed down). And after the chat got closed in maybe June 2018 I decided to look into the forum for the first time ever

Tbh it’s because one hallyu died eye- and this was the next popular forum

I saw it in the article section and joined in 2016. I’ve been here on and off in that time and hardly come here anymore.

i found akp probably from reddit article them lurked for a long time until the revamp so i'd thought i'd join
