The most popular is usually also the most hated. And there haven't been any huge 4th gen scandals that would cause any other group to take the crown
But hey at least this means Ateez is getting recognition I guess
Yup, but it sucks to see them getting so much hate for no reason.
It may be because of their fandom, they remind me of LOONA, they have everything to succeed but their fandom may be their obstacle.
I don't think Atinys are any different than any other 4th gen fandoms, I'm sure the hate that Ateez gets has little to nothing related to their fandom.

Not hated but kind of dubious that they have more ifans than kfans.
The few that I came across on twitter were not pleasant.

how can a fandom impeach a group from reaching success? they're the one voting, buying the music and trying to make their group chart. in loona's case, they would've been nothing without their fandom.

i wouldn’t say they’re the most hated. another group takes the cake but they definitely have a lot of people not wanting them to succeed. it’s simple. other kpop fans are threatened by them. ateez are really talented and they’re growing at a rapid pace and fans of other groups probably don’t like to see that.
but the other reason would be how they were kinda portrayed as ‘the next bts’ by some of their fans back when they first debuted. it was annoying how they kept pushing the underdog agenda but it’s still no reason to be so stingy towards a group

Oh really? I didn't know this. I only started to follow them recently so I didn't know what drama happened before. But they seem to get targeted by 4th gen stans the most, not Armys if their fans tried to portray them the next BTS.

Yes, they are the punching bags.
They are hated even for being talented, every day there's tweets going viral mocking them for singing, dancing and making facial expressions amazingly as if they are bad.
The recent chart exposed just prove another cicle jerk to hate on them and being racist for the most stupid things like not chart or sell better than some groups.
