I would say they are for sure. They are often the targets of two large and one semi-large fanbase. They've been dragged for their music, looks, vocals, clothing, performance, being a fan of a group, breathing, existing, etc.
Twitter is especially toxic toward them. The ableist comments honestly knocked me out of a whole fandom.

Well, you are in many fandoms aren’t you? Why not make threads about Ateez once in a while, I’d check them out.

They are in the most hated yes, but there's no metric to say that they are the most hated 4th gen boygroup.
The price of success they shouldn't have to pay and stupidity and jealousy of fans does not help with that unfortunately.....................
The thing is that they're not even the most popular ones among 4th gen groups. Yes, they're nowhere close to being nugu but other 4th gen groups are ahead them in all fields. At least for groups like BTS and BP, it makes sense (even though unfair) but they're at the top of the game in terms of popularity while Ateez have just started and yet already are swarmed with huge amount of antis.
