Did SM Lost a really potential IT GIRL letting go Jihan?

Jihan is super pretty and can really sing, she's my bias in Weeekly (with Monday too ) But I think SM were really looking for very strong vocalist that can perform on their own, I think Jihan shines better in a group. They turned away alot of talented idols tbh I'm even interested myself to see their Requirment criteria

Possibly. I know acting cheerful doesn't necessarily mean being happy but I loved seeing her all smiley and happy here. I don't know her but felt her charm so to answer you, I think yes.

However, I think all Aespa members also can be IT girls tbh. They have the charm and the talent imo. So SM still got a gain even after losing someone with potentials.

Jihan is great, but have you heard of the superior former SM trainee?

The wasted potentials on Sunny...

She herself was never confident or ambitious to ask for that (How could she? with how netizens treated her. Calling her ugly and untalented who only got in SNSD because of her uncle every time they got the chance). Her beautiful voice and fun personality were soo underrated.

Jihan is good like I said, she's defo more comfortable in the higher range and she really really lacks in lower ranges. First she isreally clear vocally but lacks in stamina, I don't know if it's nerves but considering she was just standing she sounded out of breath some parts. She was also pitchy but she covered it well, you could hear again at lower ranges better. She's good but she can improve. She done a lot better in second video, in the group singing someone was really really off key, but it wasn't her. She also only sang at high range again, so technically she lacks range, but she doesn't need to focus on it since she only sings higher ranges in her group

Karina and Giselle can BOTH hit high and low range from alto to soprano and because Giselle has been in a choir im sure she can go lower (might not be natural and sound forced) They also sing quite clear and have great flexible range and it's more at ease for them to go up and down (Bare in mind Karina was 14 and there's no current video of her just singing yet) and bare in mind these are their old clips

I can see why people might think Jihan is better, because she can reach higher vocally, but let me correct ya'll singing high notes does not mean they are better singers, especially if they lack every other range

This is why I literally said Jihan sings best in a group and not a stand alone, because she wouldn't be able to cover a full song with mixed ranges which is literally 99 percent of songs.

Here is Jihan vocal, she used to sing with a lower range bf debuting.

Good singer and she’s what 16/17 years old? She have times to improve. Also she is a super good dancer! Her expressions are so good at such a young age. I think she is going to be big.

That's so silly to compare positions, you do know different companies have different requirements for their positioning. A group as small as aespa don't need everyone to be a vocalist when it's clear everyone already sings? and that's different, because that was a normal radio show, they hadn't done any vocal exercising or preparation, compared to the ones I've shown which they obviously prepared for including weeekly's. Weeekly were purposely there to sing so had time to do vocal warm ups etc. You're confusing clarity with confidence, Jihan was clear in higher ranges, she sounded very very unconfident in lower ranges, she couldn't hit the notes well and sounded out of breath until she got to her comfortable range, that's a terrible technique and takes away from being a great singer.

No actually forever only had backtrack, this performance never had pre vocals, it's truly live, it's why they saved the best for last, they are that good. We had this debate before people saying they added auto tune but compare the Giselle video I sent to how she sounds here and the winter radio performance below to how she sounds here, it's identical!

Nooo, Weeekly is perfect for Jihan. I don't think she suits Aespa.

Jihan is talented and even woo!ah's Nana trained in SM for 2 and a half years but I feel everyone fits according to luck. I can't imagine her in Aespa, they fit in their respective group.

sm choose their trainee wo fit the concept not a concept who fits their trainee. so from all the great trainee they had, they need to make a sacrifice, and maybe jihan is one of them.

and i really dont see jihan in aespa
