so from some of your comments you seem to think that because bh has bts, they shouldn't debut newer acts? lol that's the dumbest shit i've read today, bh is a business and bts aren't gonna last forever, obv bh will want to debut newer acts while bts r still there and the company is known, just like how any big 3 company did, since u wanna talk abt big 3, sm still have no gg that's bigger than snsd, ig rv, f(x) and aespa are useless to u lol, yg's biggest bg is still bb and ig itzy should've stayed in jyp dungeon because groups last forever apparently

Bang PD is not much different from PSY

Normally I don't agree with the things you post but your comparison makes sense

Well and thats exactly the incredibly stoic way to think, only caring about money and profit. How can someone in a creative industry think like that?
Should Tarantino stop making movies just because he might never surpass Pulp Fiction or should Paul McCartney stop making songs just because he womt even come 1% close to his Beatles days anymore?
Why not continue creating something for your own satisfaction even after your glory days? What exactly speaks against that?
You know most people who retire and then stop doing almost anything productive age much faster than people who try to live hard and work hard on something even after retirement.
Creating something, living for something, not stopping what you want to do even if its just for your own satisfaction is what keeps us going and what keeps us alive. Even more so in a creative field.

I agree, makes sense.

hmmm PSY is nowhere near one hit wonder. even globally, Gentleman is still a big hit. PSY is always popular on korea since early 2000 and everything that he released before Gangnam Style issa hit on Korea . He is way more popular than IU current popularity back then.
idk much about that comparison tho
-
TXT is leading 4th gen and I'd say most popular.
-
TXT isn't even 2 years old yet and Enhypen is 3 months old lol
-
Ahhh technically you're right
I should have said they are in their 2nd and 1st years :D
-
-
BTS is an outlier.
BH is not a one hit wonder. BH produced an outlier that cannot be replicated, fact. TXT is successful in their own right and still on the rise. You are comparing an outlier to a regular successful and still growing band. Don't discount the fact that TXT and even Enhypen are successful and still have potential.
Brand diversification and portfolio diversification. One hit wonder comparison is a reach. Learn some semantics.

I'm talking about international success. Internationally he is a one hit wonder.
TXT is leading 4th gen and I'd say most popular.
Stray Kids & ATEEZ are more popular internationally

Gentleman is also a big song if you think about it. Not as big as Gangnam Style.

Stray Kids & ATEEZ are more popular internationally
TXT is more popular internationally than Ateez and is on par with SKZ. TXT literally charted at #25 on the BB200 (Highest 4th gen group, only 4th gen bg to chart on it). Has over 3M spotify monthly listeners (SKZ has over 3M as well, Ateez has around 1.5M), not to mention is the fastest 4th gen group to hit 500M streams on Spotify. While SKZ is bigger than TXT in Europe, TXT leads in Korea, Japan and North America. In Japan TXT is ahead of SKZ and Ateez, they have two RIAJ GOLD certified JPN Singles. But TXT is definitely bigger than Ateez internationally and are ON PAR with SKZ internationally. Their charting and numbers prove it.

this is untrue...read above ^

they just had their debut, a very strong one tbh. so I agree they are a top group but i still wont say top2, top3-4 imo and we need to wait for them to have a korean cb or japanese debut to solidify the ranks

Well, the fact that they outsold all other 4th gen groups with a debut Korean album in Japan and by such a margin makes that a fact. Other top artists sell 40+k.

oh god, why is everyone trying so hard to disagree with me? i was just stating a similarity. Gangnam Style made PSY known, just like BTS did for BH.
i think you're misunderstanding the point of the thread.
