[Orrsome28's Music Corner] Share MV/Songs with less than 1M views that you like

  • As the title suggests, come and share some music you like. The only condition: it must have less than one million views.

It doesn't have to be limited to K-pop; it just has to be either Korean or by a Korean artist. So, if your fave has an underappreciated release in another language, feel free to post it here.

    I'll go first:

  • Glad you enjoy those songs, Monochrome finds itself on repeat a lot lol thanks for giving a listen! :rv29:

OG FTISLAND fan here. Even though I listen to girl groups almost exclusively these days, there are still groups from back in the day I make an effort to check in on. I've watched AVION and kursor so far. I think I have an inkling why AVION's MV doesn't have the views it should. I enjoyed "Mirror" quite a bit, too.

    superyeah

I love the "Fact$" performance video. Also, KiiiKiii's "Strawberry Cheesegame" is a nice little track. I love the aesthetic of the MV, and I could tell straight away that it has the same director as "DANCING ALONE."

  • xx-jenn-xx

I just finished listening to them.

For me, "Jealousy" was bordering on a little too repetitive, but the groovy instrumentals kept me engaged.

I enjoyed EAND's "What is." At first, I had a little trouble with his diction for the English lyrics, so I was glad there were subtitles, because the song was too good of a vibe to be deterred by that. I really enjoyed the atmospheric quality of the vocals toward the end.

I had to actually click on Junny's video so I could see the views. I guess the best way I can convey my reaction to "POV" is to say that 345K views is criminally low.

I enjoyed Tabber's "Hysteric Glamour." His vocal colour would have fit right in amongst some of the 2nd Gen male vocalists.

    Regarding Avion:
Jaehyuk (Ryu Jae Hyuk), a former member of The Legend and the CEO of Gallery Music, has produced songs for acts such as ATBO, ICHILLIN’, and A.C.E. With classical training in violin and piano and years of experience studying in London, he acts as the group’s creative backbone and main producer. Kichun (Hwang Ki Chun), who has previously promoted in groups like Bigflo and TWI-Light, brings both stage charisma and entrepreneurial drive. He is the founder and former CEO of JN Entertainment (before closing it down in 2021) and founder of the WE FLEX Dance Studio in Hongdae, further showcasing his leadership beyond performing. Meanwhile, the youngest member Jayden (Kim Si Hun) has built his own career as a songwriter and soloist, composing for A.C.E and other artists, while also having experience as a member of UNVS in Taiwan.

They don't really advertise their stuff. You have to follow the members to know it's out there. I have been a long time fan of Bigflo and I follow a few of the members. I found out about Avion releasing their own songs from Kichun. Then I started following Jaehyuk because he is super talented. He went with Junhee to all of his solo promotions on music shows. They win a lot of awards for their producing. In My opinion this is just a little side thing they do. But they are extremely good.

FTISLAND has been a group I have followed for a few years now but only within the past year or so did i heavily dive into their discography. It feels like a lot of their really good music started when they became three though a lot of my favorite songs are under Where's the Truth from 2016. I'd say about that time and upwards.

Kursor is a guy who's been under 2 labels one was Wheesung's I asked him if he was okay and if he will still continue making music and he simply said he is and yes. And well he's releasing stuff. He didn't say much about Wheesung though, but he's one of the few artists who actually talk to me.

In fact I saved a message from him so i can hold him to it lol

I basically was funding an album he was doing and then it fell through and I was like i'm so sad i really wanted it and he told me the next time they do it he'd just send it to me for free. I told him i'm holding him to it lol.

  • Coiblen's Jealousy is definitely not my favorite but I really enjoyed the beat. He has other mv's that are super good another artist that constantly sends me autographed stuff because i'm always supporting his work though he says he doesn't know english that well so i always tell him we don't have to do a video call just send me something lol.

EAND is another artist i stumbled upon, he's very new to the music industry and only has a few out but his unique tone would fit perfectly well with Kursor in a duet like please make it happen.

Junny should never be criminally low that man is way too talented it hurts! Also a famous kpop songwriter turned soloist.

Tabber was found by Dean and in the same company and his deep voice is just too good, he has an incredibly discography, usually his stuff is much higher so I'm not sure why this one is taking so long to get up there.

Glad you listened to them all! as you can tell I only listen to males/bg's. However, I have found myself more into Soloists lately then groups!

  • should be less than 1 mil views for the official MV only.

This song is so underappreciated. wonder what happened to her.

  • Well, regarding AVION, there seems to be no lack of talent. If it's just a side project and they don't really promote, I can understand the low views. But we also know how judgmental people can be, and these men don't really fit the typical visual profile that K-pop fans are looking for. In an ideal world, their talent and efforts would be enough to overcome this mindset.

FTISLAND sure have come a long way and outlasted so many other groups. I remember their debut and how quickly I became a fan. Hongki still has one of the most distinct male voices in the industry.

Oh, so you've had personal interactions with kursor? That's cool. That's quite some involvement.

More fan interactions, huh? You're quite successful. Hold him to that.

Yeah, I'd never heard of EAND. I was pleasantly surprised by the song. Thanks for sharing it.

I was going to say Junny just needs his break, but then I reconsidered because that song realistically should have been it. I don't know where the disconnect is.

Tabber was a pleasant surprise, too. I could picture myself from way back when listening to him.

No worries. Thanks again for sharing, and feel free to share more whenever you get a chance. From 2006 until late 2015 was my boy group period. During that stretch of time, I could identify every member of about 40 groups. Now, it's the opposite, as I mainly listen to female artists.

  • should be less than 1 mil views for the official MV only.

Thanks for sharing this. I enjoyed it. I was sucked in almost immediately by the instrumentals.

    keyboardwarrior7

Thanks for sharing. I'm happy to see BEWAVE here. The performance video for "Hard to get to you" is one of my most watched performance videos. I love everything about that video. "SING!" is a nice song. I believe I watched it around the time it came out. They are sadly underrated.

We;Na's "Like Psycho" is a cute track. It's been a while, but I remember watching the MVs for "WIND" and "Baby Steps."

It's my first time listening to Moon Jongup's "US." I quite enjoyed it. Many moons ago, he was in my bias line with Bang Yongguk.

It's my first time listening to ELSEE, too. Thanks for introducing me to them. I enjoyed the song, but I will say, I was a little distracted by the visual attack of Nanami and Hina.

  • I agree about Avion, I really think it's just a side project, sure they aren't your typical pretty boys but that's what I love. I mean Jaehyuk and Kichun are quite handsome but I think their talent and how well they produce music should speak for itself.

I am an editor/author on Kprofiles and I was trying to update Kursors information so I asked him if what I had was accurate and if he wanted to add anything else he said nope you got it all i was like well okay. Coiblen was live on Instagram and I thanked him for the autographed photocards because the first time I sent for support i said i'd rather just have an autograph as I know that he doesn't know english and I don't know Korean it would be too uncomfortable. Expecting one thing autographed, i instead got like an entire set of photocards autographed and a hand written card..in english and he's like i'm not that good i'm like I CAN READ THIS YOU ARE FINE lol. but he is just not comfortable with English so I always opt out and just get sent an autograph. lol

EAND is the first and only artist at his company so it's no surprise he's so nugu, but I really hope he is able to get his name out there.

Hongki is a god in vocals...that man could sing me the alphabet and I'd be clapping for him. His range gives me chills.

Let's see what else can I possibly share:

This is JJ former member of Dustin, he just released this and had an instagram and everything now stuff is taken down, I am not sure what's going on with him.

  • Aye!!! Glad you enjoyed it. Jongup and Nanami were/are also my biases. ^^

    So, good taste.

  • Let's see what else can I possibly share:

Thanks for sharing again. Excluding Hyungsik's "Koishikute Aitakute," I've given them a listen.

JJ's "Madness" gave me slight 3rd Gen vibes. Overall, a pretty decent song.

I'm a fan of both Hyungsik and Seo Inguk. Again, I was around for their respective debuts. Granted, outside of a few of Seo Inguk's recent tracks, I haven't kept up with them musically. I'd just finished watching them both in Twelve not long before Hyungsik dropped his Japanese release. It had been many, many years since I'd heard him sing. I enjoyed it, and it was refreshing to hear him sing again. I may have already listened to Seo Inguk's "Out Of Time," but I can't be certain. It was good regardless.

JHNOVR's "White Center" was a good studio session. What I'll say is: I didn't waste my time.

It may be because I haven't heard him in a minute, but does Hyunseung sound even better now? It's a nice song and an interesting concept. I enjoyed the rising instrumentation at the end.

Regarding Kyuu, I'm not a huge fan of that type of vocal style or processing, but I did like the song's flow and the thumping bass.

Another artist I'm unfamiliar with. I'm glad you included that tidbit about Corbyn because my first question would have been why his English is so good. I quite enjoyed the song. He has a great voice.

I'm familiar with Gaho's work in PLT, and I've listened to maybe one or two of his solo releases. I enjoyed "RIDE." If there's one thing I do know about him, it's that he always delivers vocals.

  • Fun thread, I’ll start digging into your recs later. Orrsome28 is it mostly soft rock, indie rock?

Sorry for taking a bit to respond, but most of them are singer-songwriter types, and it's a bit of a mixture—some indie stuff, a touch of jazz, and a little alternative. Some of them have worked with notable idol groups and soloists.

For example, MRCH has worked on the following:

    Milena has worked on:

I'm going to have to go soon, so I'll get through these some time later today/tonight. I saw Minseo and Youha, so that's a great start. I look forward to going through them.

This was my favourite song from the bunch, (I liked MRCH too), thanks for sharing!

I'm glad you enjoyed some of it. If you're interested, you can find more MRCH and Choi Jungyoon in my live music thread. I noticed you post quite a bit in the Hyperpop thread, so based on your recommendation, would I be safe to assume it's one of your favorite genres? I enjoyed "Salad Days," by the way, so thanks for sharing that, too.

Yes, Hyperpop is a bit of a nebulous genre but any experimental female singer with either hip-hop influences and/or bass music influences immediately grabs my attention.

  • I have to agree about Kyuu he is hit or miss but most of his work is pretty good.

Jj's rock vibe was everything I am ready to hear more hopefully his social media returns so I can keep up with him.

See i knew you had great taste. I never listened to ZE:A til I saw a couple members in dramas and they are pretty good. I found In Guk as an actor before his music! Finding that he also sings was a huge plus!!

Yep Corbyn was born in Korea and raised in the U.S all of his songs are english and he owns 28lab. He has LXX who's from new York, he used to be in the group High4. He hasnt made much music since being in a relationship lol. Super nice guy.

I keep telling Corbyn to perform here but he keeps ignoring me lol

Gaho is just so good. Another vocalist with an incredible range. I only found him when kave came out and then realized he was a soloist. I was missing out!

I like to think i found some gems in the solo world haha.

  • These songs should've been hits!

Okay, so I've just listened to "walk" by SoLt and "Lovestruck" by Yoohajung.

For the first 30 seconds or so, it was the instrumental of "walk" that had my attention, but by the end of the song, the vocal arrangement had tickled several parts of my brain. Really nice song.

"Lovestruck" is the type of song that easily resonates with me. It was cute and had a positive vibe. The MV was also filled with a warm energy.

Thanks for sharing these. I'll get to the rest later.

    I think so

I heard it from a variety show (unrelated to hybe) that they were on and I really really liked the song

I think maybe it was NewJeans Code in Busan.

Okay, I've finally gotten through the rest. Thanks for sharing these; this selection of songs made for a fun listen-through.

I've come across COOING's music before, but haven't really dived in. "REC" is a nice track, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll admit, I'm a bit of a sucker for a good "LaLaLa" section.

I've already listened to "DEAD LOVE" by Minseo, but you gave me an excuse to listen to it again, so I did. Big fan. She's a really versatile artist.

"So Blue" by Hanhee was a nice surprise. For how much I enjoyed it, I think 22K views in a month is too low. The kick and snare pattern reminded me slightly of NewJeans' "Super Shy," though I could just be imagining it. "902+1" was a short and sweet track. I enjoyed the vocals as well as the constant energy maintained by the beat.

I've also heard "We" by Youha before, but I listened anyway. Great song. It was a while ago when I last listened to it, but being a city pop track, it appeals strongly to my sensibilities.

It's my first time listening to Summer Cake, although the name sounds oddly familiar. I enjoyed "Not In Public" enough to check out the number of views. 106K views in three years. Wow. Obviously, for you to post it, I knew it met the criteria, but I wasn't expecting it to be that low.

I enjoyed both of The Deep's tracks. It's not the sort of music I generally seek out, but I liked both songs enough. I think I prefer "Make Up" more, but the beat of "BAPPI" made for a fun listen.

Thanks for introducing me to Yein's "Plus n Minus." I knew in the first five seconds that I'd enjoy it. My only complaint is that it's a sub-three-minute song.

I'll check these out soon. I did give your rando English song a listen since it met at least the criterion of having less than one million views. Thanks for that. No, really—it's been a while since my auditory senses were so thoroughly harassed; I was beginning to think I could appreciate, if not tolerate, most music. You shattered my delusion. I needed that reality check. I mean, yeah, I'm sure it has its audience, but, unfortunately, I'm not it. You certainly cooked my ears. I have higher hopes for your other contributions.

But with all that said, thanks for sharing. Feel free to share more whenever you feel so inclined; I'll try and give them a listen when I can.

damn, not feeling CG8, understandable since their music is not for everyone ;(.

    basically jrock clones

  • aznboy-x2

I gave them a listen, and my verdict is that your other recommendations were indeed better than "dumb bitch."

"I Am My Own God" by Snake Chicken Soup was a song... No, I'm just kidding. It was actually better than I expected. Not exactly my style, but there were enough familiar elements to make it an enjoyable experience. I liked the aesthetic of the MV, too.

Luci Gang's "RING RING" was a far better listen. It's not generally my thing, but I did enjoy her cadence on the verses, and she was flowing in some nice pockets. PAXXWORD came in smooth too, and delivered. Overall, a pretty enjoyable song.

Even though it didn't quite meet all the criteria, "Spit On" was by far my most liked track. Thanks for introducing me to e5 and EAERAN. It felt like being bombarded by non-stop energy, but in the best way possible. It sounded like it could be on a video game soundtrack.

I finally listened to the songs you posted. I get what you mean by "basically jrock clones." But they were good, though, so thanks for sharing them. I'm familiar with YdBB but not the other two.

Kim Marie's "Fly!" and "A New World!" were enjoyable listens. I don't have much to say other than I enjoyed both songs from start to finish, but I think I prefer "Fly!" more.

Okay, let's disregard the song for a second and appreciate the music video for "Bipolar." Impressive animation work for a three-and-a-half-minute song. While it's getting closer, that MV alone should have been enough to surpass one million views some time ago. The song was fun and had a lot to offer.

As I mentioned, I'm familiar with YdBB, but I don't remember ever listening to "CAN'T KEEP SMILING!" so thanks for sharing it. It's a fun song with some nice vocal moments.

yeah this kind of mv is the kind you'd find from the top jrock bands

bipolar is probably one of their more unique songs, so i shared it

honestly usually ydbb isnt my thing but i stumbled upon this one and thought it was really refreshing

im also just drawn to any song with cool bass parts
