Illit Seoul Drama Awards Performance - only one person reacts to it

Hmm... It's what probably other wise to send them there... Could another Hybe act have been set? Or the organisers of the event have gone for another artist from another company? Not many will know ILLIT, and ILLIT will not know many from that audience.

Only idols who light up the stage and can fill the building with their magnetic charms and charisma should EVER be invited to these. Only two idol groups have ever gotten an emphatically positive reaction from the stars that attend the awards shows; thankfully I stan both of them.

They killed it at the venue (Blue Dragon Film Awards) that has a reputation for giving the frostiest reception to idols (even legends like SNSD, Wonder Girls and TVXQ), AND they're also the only ones who were invited a second consecutive year, because everyone loved them the first time so much.

i'm not saying only top 10 artists should go there, but i just thaught the criteria was a 'hit song' this people might at last know about. now i may be wrong to some extent but if soemone had a more popular song, they deserved it more in my opinion .

it was not necessarily meovv but i pointed out how even them charted better/were heard/known more this year.

because, this group is not some group from an obscure company, quite the CONTRARY. from what i know popular groups with popular song go there to entertain movies stars. it's not another hybe unfair payola promo event damn it .

Grand Bell always notorious for that kind of reaction. You can't bring it into a discussion about Blue Dragon Film Award.

Some fights are worth the time and effort. This isn't one of them.

Actors and actresses gave awful reactions and energy at the Blue Dragon Awards too.

And the main point I made and then demonstrated is that it takes a special effort to get these crowds to give any signs of life.

... this thread started with an idol group getting a horrible reception JUST THIS WEEK.

Let's try to use some common sense, everyone.

If they wanted a 5th gen group, they should have invited KIOF. They got a much better reception at their award show performance just a month ago.

Do the Dance isn't exactly an appropriate song for the event, since it's rather high octave, or more like you're on cocaine. Slower tempo songs are best for events like these 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I don't understand why they performed do the dance instead of Magnetic. I don't think there's anything wrong with performing older songs that people know. Other industries do that all the time because I don't think we're that far removed from magnetic. I think it's still in the melon top 75, so it still gets a lot of plays.

Also, Cherish wasn't that big of a hit, and I think Do The Dance had a higher peak.

That's usually the crowd reaction at most drama awards. The actors are just trying to stay cool looking but I can tell they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Actors are just musty talent holes tbh, idols are generally 10000x more talented and hardworking than most of those fools. The only exceptions are mah Izone girls and IU who floored me with Hotel Del Luna.

I was just thinking about this. Is it because they are jealous of the attention kpop receives? They see themselves as "real" artists but people only know korea for this and don't know about them?

Jealous? no. Kpop stans live in a bobble when its comes to this. I'd argue more Kdrama and films have broke through on the global stage then almost any kpop group recently.

Look its an awkward award show, look on Youtube for Eminem at the Oscars its the same thing. Im not big a fan of the group, song or performance so I'd sit there like they did.

Anyway unless they have well known songs that broke through the kpop scene sending the group to this isn't wise. Especially after the poor call to send them to that Crypto event the other week, not the actual performance which was fine but rather sending them to do it.
