First I save Day6, then I save ITZY.

I truly am that bitch. JYPE you better pay me

  • I will respect their choice, but personally I think it's not a good decision.

We will still have a lot of disappointments (I hope I'm wrong) so good for them but personally I don't want to see the same mistakes again and again, create expectations and experience disappointments. Their music is getting worse and worse despite some flashes of brilliance and I'm going to move on.

  • this is how they've announced it hahahaha

    MIDZY were crying expecting disbandment!!

    Oh that is CRUEL lmao

  • Nice. Still a fan of the group and I like their recent music a lot. I just hope they have it in their contracts to have more freedom. I felt they missed so many opportunities.

Also need that world tour with Lia because she missed the last one

  • Go fuck yourself you pathetically cruel, inhuman dog

Business is business, and the investors do not give two cents about whether a company is cruel or inhuman. All they care about are the profit and the dividend.

If KPop were more cruel and inhuman it would have conquered the world. But it was too nice and too human for someone who perpetually tried to undermine it whenever she could so it is now being swallowed by Netflix.

  • Couldn't agree more with others. The number of times the girls fell over hurdles because Papi was distracted by the other race with Twice is downright dastardly!!

All I hope is that they get a reboot with them in the driver's seat, not him.

Shut the fuck up dog. You have no right of reply. I didn't ask for you reply nor give you permission to bark again.

Logically speaking, where could they even go?

No company is eager to sign ~24-year-olds with mid-level vocals and a flop reputation—especially after four years without a real hit. JYPE will keep feeding them mediocre songs, they’ll perform decently for the core fanbase until it shrinks to the point where concerts aren’t viable anymore.

JYPE is satisfied, the members (most of them) are satisfied, and the core fans are satisfied. In the end, nobody will remember the countless lost opportunities—especially with Yuna.

And that's exactly why I'm quitting.

It's their career, not mine; they can do what they want with it, and that's the most important thing.

I've been disappointed for a long time, it's no secret. I was waiting to see what would happen with the contract renewals. They had the choice to stay with JYPE or take a risk and try a new adventure.

They made a pragmatic choice rather than an artistic one, and I completely understand that, and once again, I respect it.

But as a fan, their financial income doesn't go into my pocket, so I don't care. On the other hand, their music reach my ears and I don't vibrate like before.

So it's my turn to make a pragmatic choice and move on.

  • Renewing after not having your own career path / your own brand for almost 7 years of your career is kinda crazy, let alone top idol from big company.

Especially ryujin after i've read the tweet about her being edited out of her own content days ago, from her own mouth. That's double crazy.

    well goodluck in the future.

  • Honestly ? I don't know why they resign

When they are talking about most of their recent title tracks the girls doesn't seem to like them.

All of them are getting poor exposure for a futur solo career and JYP doesn't show any potential to fix this or even their group career

And Ryujin even complaint few days ago that she's being edited out of their own content by JYP team

I seriously don't understand what kind of argument could have make them resign

Unless they thought that JYP was a big 4 company so it was better for them to stay here cuz they would have more opportunities thanks to this than leaving

I didn't expected them to disband but i thought they would at least leave JYP

And find a new company who would help them to give them a new era

  • I'll admit their music hasn't been the best, but I don't know what, if anything, another company could provide them that JYPE won't. I say this because I don't think they're poised for a big breakout either way. The time for that has already passed, and they're kind of just coasting along on whatever momentum they still have left at this point.

  • As one dude said "They have no better option than JYP.". And Ryujin "complaint" is some madeup fangirl thing. As Ryujin have been given center, most of lines and she has the most followers on insta. Not to mention she is in lot of shorts / videos with Yuna. So imo that complaint is fake news.

they will renew if offered. They have no better option than JYP.

As for me I'm fine but I would like jype to give Yuna more solo opportunities as she slays every stage.

  • I have a question for others. Which company were people expecting Itzy to join? I know the situation isn't the best and JYPE missed many opportunities to push them further. However, a company outside of JYP most likely doesn't have the resources to fully support Itzy. I think this is the tough reality when a group starts off with a big 4 company because other companies are considered a downgrade because they most likely wouldn't be able to manage or have the connections that JYPE has it their disposal.

If they were to leave JYPE they most likely will lose access to brand deals, variety, JYPE connections, managing tours, maintaining sales, and a few other advantages a big company will have. I think if they were to leave there's a major risk they will lose a lot more than they will gain. I think we just have to hope there's more freedom in contract to pursue soloist careers, acting, brand deals, and other opportunities.

The hoover would likely have wanted them (BPM). As for which one personally... I couldn't hazard a guess...
