Comparing a big4 group debut with a no big4 debut. While Starship isn't a nugu, the promo money will be different. Probably h2h, but I'll be here for the music so give me great music, girls!!

IVE got the most popular IZ*ONE member and it girl 4th gen. Situation is completely different. SM group definitely have edge over Starship.

So h2h is that smngg being lauded as enders since 2024

h2h isnt giving my beloved sm energy at all so i want them to flop so that sm will get their act together and give us the real sm

I’m hoping for KiiiKiii since I like their sound and vibe more so far.

H2H seems very generic for a SM girl group and they just seem to be riding the Newjeans wave with their visuals and concept so far.

Excited for both but H2H hype is too big! Look at their engagement they’re alrady getting better engagement than groups that already debut

I don’t think it’s fair to compare though as KK

Isn’t a Big4 And doesn’t have the WY hype. Initially H2H but anything can happen!

I do believe in the long run we will have BM vs H2H and maybe KK or High up gg

I don’t really care how much SM spent to mimic NewJeans. They should’ve came up with a unique concept for the group.

I think H2H will have a far more successful debut and it won't even be close. Starship has an uphill battle ahead with KiiiKiii but they're doing a decent job so far.

Remember that IVE ELEVEN started out of the charts and sold "only" 50k day 1 with massive Wonyoung&Yujin hype and some of the best pre debut promotions ever. Any SM group debut will probably crush those numbers.

H2H by default.

They are Big4 group and especially from SM which Korea loves automatically. Their aesthetics so far remind me S.E.S , SNSD and NJs. So with that being said people will most likely be pleased with that. They also have 8 members, which many people wanted to see, since we didn’t have that large kind of group since twice.

Also they will be riding success from Aespa which are at their absolute peak in Korea in the past year or so.

Idk how KiiKii can beat H2H but they need very viral song to do that. And they don’t have Wy or Yujin in the group. And they don’t have members from most popular produce group who could sell million copies easily……

But I will check out both

H2H no doubt will be very successful, but Will Starship be able to hit it big with another group beside IVE?

H2H because they come from SM.

But I'm more intrigued by KiiKii for now. H2H teasers look nugu-ish so far.

Both are obvious copypasta of NewJeans and Illit lol. SM/Kakao really going for that Hybe vibe tbh. This makes it impossible to tell who's going to succeed more.

Plus since Starshit and SM are basically the same company now (both run by behemoth chaebol Kakao), this makes it even harder to predict relative success. There are probably internal power struggles going on to get the best treatment, most promotional moneys, etc. If they were smart, they would crossbrand with each other (just like how Kakao had Yujin and Karina do a performance together that went semi viral) at some point to lift both groups up.

SISTAR was also very popular and they didn't have any "it girl" or super popular member among the GP

their success was build on their song and capitalize on the sexy concept

And even if WJSN never reach big heights they were slowly but surely gaining recognition

And i think they would have been much more popular if they didn't send one of their most popular member (cheng xiao) to promote out of nowhere

And then make all the c-line follow

And had very messy and confusing way to communicate with the fans about the actual situation of these members

And even if they didn't hit big at their time

They still have a semi viral hit who always re-enter the chart each new year

We are talking about debut of these upcoming groups. KiiKii can absolutely get popular but at debut they won’t have much edge over an SM group honestly

starship is starting to look more and more like a mini hybe . but unlike them, they still hold a partenship with kakao so...

let's say it was mostly organic. i don't think either of these two groups could have entered melon top 50. and that with some level of 'push' for a debut.

i don't know to which extent this payola is gonna go tho... top 20 or top 10 level? idk. i just feel like kk is gonna get more than h2h.

Starship has a lot of money because they have the highest profits out of any of these companies. The financial results are public information. It's a cool theory you have going but good luck payolaing your way to the highest profit margins. It's more interesting how some companies are selling millions of albums and having massive spotify numbers yet are somehow losing money.

Before seeing Kiki’s prerelease MV I would have said H2H but the visuals and concept of Kiki so far seem way better so I’m going to go with them. This is just for the debut though.

The charting : need to hear the song first because its ultimately depends how good it is

fandom power/voting/views: obviously it will be H2H because they are from SM and they have SEA member. Kiikiii don't have well known members like IVE was and company stan so they need to have better song than H2H to beat their hype.

By charting I mean kcharts because for international charts H2H has the edge . I think they will entering spotify global at debut since they have Indonesian member so they have streaming farms taking notes from YG gg strategy.

I'll go for Team H2H

H2h debut will flop much like aespa’s did. SM groups don’t really have GP hype right on debut. Probably they’ll pick up after a comeback or two once SM learns what will actually hit after all the trial and errors.

Going off the company standard H2H would flop or at least have mid successful debut whereas KK would have a hit ( don’t think they’ll be able to get a smash hit like Ive at debut) but I have a strong feeling H2H will have a successful debut at least compared to aespa and RV!

Something about H2H feels different in a good way like I think they have huge potential from debut   

maybe because nothing is known about the members
