What's the deal with these people?

    Okay so I'm apparently known for my "hot takes" and this isn't one of them, I promise.


    But I've always been wondering this even though it's a little late to make this thread. Anyways.


    LE SSERAFIM released Crazy ts goes hard but, "too western" "it was made to be a tiktok dance" blah blah blah, yap ,yap ,yap.


    Why is this so?


    "because of its fast-paced tempo and overall edm vibe." HUH!!


    'kay then...AESPA's comes out with Whiplash and ts slays. Fast tempo, edm vibe, house beats, ALSO made for the gals an gays, and ALSO made for the club. And you have people saying its > Crazy even though they both basically the same genre.


    So what's the difference? Is it that Whiplash is longer? Is it that people just ran out of things to whine about LSF or??


    I'm not claiming one's greater than the other. They both go hard but why the comparison?



    I also saw people saying they didn't like Whiplash because it seems like they were trying to one-up LE SSERAFIM with the house beat genre but :meme-ahhh: leave both of them alone and just enjoy music, gdamn.

    OP - it’s moot to keep on asking these points when we all know the reasons.


    KPOP fan culture - online - especially is quite toxic. Curate spaces where you can enjoy your favorites with other fans and do not engage with the hate. Sure, everyone likes different things and have their own preferences. It is fine and normal.


    What isn’t normal:: is to follow and continuously hate engage re artists you don’t like or support.


    We know for a fact that LSRFM was targeted this year with excessive hate. Fans and sane KPOP fans understand it. Not much you can do except to respectfully call it out and let it go.


    Because the ones that are deep into the hate won’t ever change their mind or listen until they grow up and realize they perpetual a huge aspect of the toxic aspect of KPOP.


    Focus on making more appreciation and celebration post of the ladies instead.

    Even if both of them can be classified under “House” music, which is an umbrella term for all songs that fall into that category, house music has a lot of genres. Whiplash is a “techno house” music, but Crazy is not Techno house(Idk under which category it is tho). So this is one difference. Secondly, Crazy is just basically talking without any melodic hook. While Whiplash has a bridge, a pre chorus, and a high note. Also whiplash has much more dynamics. Chorus, post chorus and even has a double pre chorus after 2nd verse.


    At the end of the day singing in a song matters a lot, which in crazy we didn’t have unfortunately, so it’s replay value is lower compared to Whiplash.

    Eunchae sing/rap is bad.

    The lyrics is bad.

    Ta ta ta ta ta is weird.

    The vocal is clearly not strong.

    The quirky mv too much "inspired" by supernova showing lack of originality.


    And pretty sure their team knew whiplash was about to release.


    And "dress like angel, act like crazy" is not aligned with their personality when they keep crying being criticized. Everyone know they are not badass. Why making song like they are ones ?

    Everyone has their own reasons. For some it's about the groups, for some it's the song.


    For me personally, Whiplash is just a better song pretty much for the reasons quoted above. Crazy seems almost more like a commercial jingle than a proper song.


    In my opinion, Crazy is Lesserafim's weakest title track. Everything from Fearless to Smart/Easy are just better songs.

    As said above it's bc it's lsrfm, not bc the song is bad.

    But I also don't like the "TikTok song" people use to discredit a song quality, everybody in kpop is doing songs to fit sns viral hits and this isn't a drag, it's just a new type of promo and nothing wrong with it. I think Cupid success is a great example of it, it went viral on TikTok, the same with Money, etc.

    People are just jealous bc some songs do better on TikTok or it's even funnier when kpop fans act like kpop songs nowadays are "easy and addicted" bc they are TikTok songs when since 2nd gen we have songs like these that would blow up on TikTok if they were from this time, uhm, I must say ever since 1st gen. In the end it's up to people if they'll like the song or not and "quality" has nothing to do with their faves flopping on TikTok so this Crazy drag is bc of lsrfm current situation, not exactly the song being the problem.

    And honestly when Whiplash got released i prefered Crazy more than Whiplash probably cuz i got more time to get used to Crazy than Whiplash


    And as a gay person who love this type of song in club


    Some things made Crazy just a bit more lackluster than Whiplash, that's why i now prefer Whiplash


    If you want to make a banger for gay club you need 2 things that were missing in Lsrf song iconic lines / cuntiness


    • Besides the " i'm an otaku, bestie" and eunchae part follow by kazuha part the rest of the song lack of really iconic part. Which i think i much more present in whiplash with ningning part, the " i can deliver, i can promise" giselle line, giselle dancing part, the under pressure, body sweating iconic line. Like there's so much part in this song that you can quote
    • And i'm sorry but if you make a gay anthem club you need to bring us sass, cuntiness, sexiness and lsrf didn't deliver on this, they used the same musical genre but took a different approach which isn't always a winning recipe


    And i would say one of the biggest factor is just the overall feeling of the song

    I listen to Crazy when i'm at the gym cuz it hypes me up

    But i'm listening to whiplash everywhere cuz it's just the type of song that you make feel good


    Like listening to whiplash make me feel like i'm always serving on my looks, like i'm the main character when i'm walking in the street etc....

    Crazy sucks regardless of who would release it. I would hate it more if aespa released it bc drama, supernova and armagaeddon are bops and crazy would be a huge fail mark in their discography, worse than next level.

    It's monotone, boring and doesn't have any catchy parts that would make you wanna dance

    I don't have a problem acknowledging good things groups have even if I don't like them. Easy was cute(esp the beat when it starts), smarter was average cute even if autotune in both songs ruined it, but crazy is bad in a bad way

    The beat is catchy and instantly memorable, the talk singing at the start doesn't aggravate me like Eunchae did and is memorable, singing parts, esp Winter's visualize was heavenly

    I love Crazy and I enjoyed Whiplash once. Different likes for different folks but I will not be making any negative comments about Aespa - they are beautiful and talented. Their music isn’t to my taste and that is fine. I loved their Tetris song tho.
