Agreed that they chose the wrong song for a title track. Things might have been better for them if they went with this as the title track instead of Memem. The Memem mini album has a lot of good b-sides on it.

I totally understand and share the criticism of Purple Kiss regarding the fact that the concept may have changed too much often abruptly with title songs like "MemeM", "7heaven" or "BBB" and didn't help the group to gain popularity.

But given the state of the industry right now, how can a group from a medium or small agency know if the concept is the right one since no matter what the gp will sleep on it? I've seen a lot of people say "sweet juice" was the perfect concept, but in the end "Sweet Juice" was like all their other music and was totally ignored. How can the artists or the company learn from this?

Many groups in medium and small companies have this puzzle to solve. And when we see that even agencies like JYPE and YG have trouble setting a guideline as well. This is not reassuring for the future. It seems that only having a viral moment can help a group gain popularity now.

Sweet Juice was so good and i'm sad the kpop community in general sleeps on purple kiss, zombie in particular deserved so much better, it's just the type of song kpop fans eat up yet it was only a minor hit in the kpop bubble
