Only true for established idols who were able to develop a fandom over a career that is 8-10 years.

When you’re newly debuted you pretty much lack any identity.. you are fully and completely a product of your company. Everything is dictated by the company and the creative. The label sub label system May May things confusing for HYBE Stan’s but kpop stan in general “stan companies” for their creative vision which is crucial. If you’re less than 3 years you absolutely need a company behind you to actually establish your identity and you would be nothing without the company.

That’s the same as stanning a company. It’s the technical terms.

When people stan SM they’re stanning the creative process of SM. They like how SM curates vocal based idols with interesting concepts (just an example) that’s just MHJ for you.

Your title is only true for HYBE which has a weird system where you’re separating the head of the sub lable and the head of the parent company.

I'm just glad blinks never cared about YGE and their scandals, we were there for BP and we are now with the pinks for the solos as everybody can see through their immediate success with their releases!

Of course the idols need the companies; no idol is going to make it big starting their own independent label and funding their projects. K-Pop is never escaping the assembly line production formula that keeps the industry going.

But some people equate the idols to the companies, when I promise the idols themselves don't see it that way at all. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement, and if the company does its job, the idols can then shake their hand at the negotiation table and pursue their own creative ventures if they want to.

So yes you’re stanning the company in the initial years. Like in the case of new jeans and how many people were afraid they would drop off if MHJ went away. That’s the same as stanning companies.

Those are not separate things at the beginning imo. They only diverge after a few years of getting to know the group and developing the fandom.

If you immediately stan groups that are less than say a couple of years, you’re stanning the company.

I don't think YG promoting Babymon better. They literally did the same with BP in their first 2-3 years. After that, they didn't do much anymore. Especially in SK. Give BM a couple of years and YG will move on again.

BTW, I don't get why people acting like BP girlies weren't successful at YG as soloists. All of their so many songs have the same success. 😅

Honestly, I still think they had bigger success at YG, especially Lisa.

But in my defense, minji and haerin have always been my top biases in newjeans, when newjeans badges were added, i bought both members badges at same time. Sometimes minji is slightly ahead sometimes is haerin (and sometimes min heejin).

Btw, is no contradictory to stan the idol not the company, and then have an insane fixation with the profits of the group? I mean, we are bragging the profits of the company, we dont know how much the idols are earning, but knowing how companies work, i can tell is just a small part of the cake. In the end you are celebrating the company earnings

why not just allow people to stan whoever they want whether it be the idol the company or even LSM!!!
