i'm a bit iffy about them calling treasure a dance group, yeah they don't have songs that live up to their potential but it's kinda insulting even from a non teume's point of view??!

TBF most 4th gen groups don't focus on dancing, such as aespa, stayc etc.. They can dance when they need to, but dancing is certainly not their main importance, I think earlier 4th gen girl groups do, such as itzy, gidle, izone etc

If it Big Mama style, I assume it a group without a rapper, consists only of vocalists. That quite interesting for YG's style

Maybe they'll try out a different concept with each comeback after their debut (dance party concept, hardcore hip-hop concept, heavy metal band concept, et cetera... I feel like there are so many concepts that YGNGG can try on for their comebacks) ? (On a side note, I'm hoping they go with the name "Baemon" instead of "Baby Monsters" because I don't think the latter's going to age well as the members are all going to get old someday ...)

This doesn't seem to be an official statement from YG and rather just a journalist speculating. What we know of Baemon it's unlikely for them to be anything even close to "Big Mama". Also a group like "Big Mama" doesn't make you money these days.

Their name is absolutely terrible ( second only behind S(u)perm ), but beside that, I'm curious about their concept.

It's YG though, so I won't dream for proper management.

The article isn't very detailed, all we're getting is that everyone in the group will be good at singing (with possibly a stronger vocal line than average). And that they'll still have the idol groups characteristics (like visuals?)

Could be a Big Mama/Mamamoo group just like it could be a SNSD/Purple Kiss one

Interesting, I was expecting YNGG to be BP successor and keep the international market but I guess they will market them differently. I'm not sure how well a r&b group can do with ifans, of course better than nugu groups.

Edit: so it's not an official statement lol it sounded weird to go for a r&b group when everyone is trying to appeal to international fans.

What at least use a better exemple than aespa !! Dancing is not the focus according to you,yet they didn’t sing live in any of their performances of black mamba

It's not said negatively like you said they are not just that and I saw many teumes being offenses by that on Twitter
